As far as I am concerned, the BBC versus Trump is two monsters fighting each other, but we need to form a word coalition against this complete lunatic.

If you don't already agree that there's a moral panic over transgender care, just read the New York Times' articles on hormone therapy for cis people and compare them to their hit pieces on the hormone therapy for trans people.

Remember: if you're trans and don't disclose before sexual acts, you could end up in prison and on the sex offenders list but if you abused girls along with Epstein, the King will still give you pocket money and a mansion.

The BBC, quite consciously, sets out to demean and belittle trans people. This is both morally contemptible and in breach of its Charter obligations. We've made it super easy for you to write to the BBC and tell it to stop.

The BBC must stop attacking trans people | Good Law Project
The right wing accusations of ‘pro-trans’ bias are back to front. It’s time for the BBC to live up to its duty to be impartial on trans issues.

The BBC editorial guidelines are changing as of 1 September 2025.

Just looking at one section from the 2019 guidelines, which I've referred to quite a few times, and comparing it to the 2025 equivalent. . .

Covered on the Radio 4 Six O'Clock News last night, but I have not heard mention of it on #r4today. Hardly surprising really.
This has probably already been shared a hundred times.
Seems like a mostly neutral summary, other than the insistence on unpacking "trans woman" as "biological male who identifies...."

The first time the BBC has acknowledged that the interim guidance [sic] has been withdrawn, and indeed why,

A slightly different CV from that presented by Nick Robinson earlier. #r4today
Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Like the word "sex" and "biological?"
One thing I really get bored with in pop-science is the obsession with "woaaah are imaginary numbers real or not??" cause like

NUMBERS aren't real. Stuff that shares the properties of various mathematical constructs is. Some stuff's behavior can be represented nicely with complex numbers. Done.

Is this (and 24/) as batshit as it reads?

According to the EHRCs idiot lawyer we have no right to use a toilet - but that non right competes with a right for a cis person to use a toilet.

If it doesnt exist how can it compete? Its a completely nonsensical proposition.
23/ Cross turns to human rights. He says there is no authority for the proposition that it will be a breach of a trans persons’ human rights not to permit them to use a toilet.
