Starmer and Lammy now own all the problems with the justice system, but I can remember years of questions in the Commons before July 2024, pointing out the ongoing, burgeoning causes of most of them.

I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but interesting that one of the Prescott criticisms of the BBC is based on those of the 'History Reclaimed' group, which is also associated with the 'Restore Trust' group's attacks on & so far unsuccessful attempts to take control of the National Trust. 1/3

Really worrying piece with General Nick Parker

- he fears there will be "soldiers who are vulnerable to the law"

- in an incoherent sequence he says "we have to be absolutely above the law" then interprets that as "we've go to behave better than everybody"

The Laffer curve is a hoax.

Tax rate A, lower than tax rate B, might bring in more money on a particular day. "Lower taxes always bring in more" is just wrong.

If you want a break from a certain story currently eating up the timelines, may I suggest this...
NEW: I wrote about Nasa's rather incredible system for detecting tsunamis, in near real-time, by *analysing GNSS signals*.

Some tsunamis are so big, they cause ripples in the Earth's atmosphere big enough to affect GPS.

The left-wing BBC Is somehow unlikely to cover discussions like these from a professor of economic policy at the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University, concerning new work from the National Bureau of Economic Research.

New post: Labour’s Brexit stance is as untenable as their tax pledge

As public perception and econometric estimates of the damage caused by Brexit rise, Labour's refusal to discuss rejoining the EU's customs union or single market means more self harm.
