Interestingly, there have been a lot of edits to the online coverage of the Sandie Peggie reports.
This quote seems to reflect that - there was an assumption at the BBC (and elsewhere) that it was raining transphobia and they hadn’t bothered to look into it and check:

Just been talkimg to a cis friend from way back, a scout leader.
Since the Guides went trans exclusive:
(1) Lot of defections from Guides.
(2) Lot of scout leaders including her clearly stating they will walk away if scouts follow suit.

The Times, Telegraph, Mail, and other newspapers have been more accurate than the BBC in their reporting of the Sandie Peggie case. This raises the question of why the BBC appears to take such an intensely ideological and transphobic stance, far beyond commercial motives.

I'm sorry to say, but GLP analysis is wrong. The Peggie case is a pretty big victory for bigots (if it were confirmed on appeal)
It basically says "trans woman are permitted to use the ladies *unless someone complains* and then you must kick them out
We are now at the mercy of every other employee

We have to say that trans women are "biological males" but not that Michael Foran is an academic lawyer who assists anti trans factions in legislation including the Supreme Court (For Women Scotland) case. #r4today
