The country can’t afford three more years of chaos that just strengthens the populist right and plays into Farage’s hands.

The country just can’t afford another three and half years of this dysfunctional soap opera, says Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey

It’s time for Labour stop the infighting and get on with fixing the country.

And if they can’t do that - they should call a General Election.

Jimmy Lai’s imprisonment and persecution at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party is an outrage.

The Prime Minister should summon the Chinese Ambassador today, and demand Jimmy Lai's immediate release and the quashing of this trumped-up sentence.

Labour promised change, instead we're seeing the same old chaos as under the Conservative Party.

No wonder the public are so fed up.

The PM should hold a confidence vote now so the government can focus on fixing the cost-of-living crisis, the NHS and the economy.

Trump is a vile racist bully

We should all condemn this without hesitation. But something tells me Farage will find a way to make excuses for his best mate Trump. I hope I’m wrong.
February 6, 2026 at 10:46 AM
We need a government totally focused on ending the cost-of-living crisis, fixing the NHS and care, and getting our economy growing again.

Time for Keir Starmer to say ‘put up or shut up’.
February 5, 2026 at 1:06 PM
The British people can’t afford for this Labour soap opera to drag on for months.

Let’s have a confidence vote now to see whether Labour MPs have any confidence in the Prime Minister, so the government can move on one way or the other and focus on the change our country needs.

Months ago, I asked the Prime Minister a simple question: why did he keep backing Mandelson despite his Epstein links, and what leverage might the Trump administration have over him?

Instead of answering, he waved it away.

In 2023, Ed shared his family’s cancer story.
In 2025, nearly 1,000 cancer patients waited more than six months for treatment.

This cannot continue. Patients deserve urgency and families deserve better. It’s time for the government to show more ambition in the fight against cancer.

When Keir Starmer made Peter Mandelson his US Ambassador – even after his Epstein links were well known – did he think at all about Epstein's victims?

The Prime Minister's answer simply wasn't good enough. Epstein's victims deserve far better.

Just as with Donald Trump, the Prime Minister approached negotiations with China from a position of weakness, not strength.

The Government should be focusing on the closest possible ties with our European and Commonwealth allies, and other nations that share our values.

It’s clear we need a full statutory inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s ties with the British political establishment and the impact on his victims, including the disgraceful leaks from Peter Mandelson at the very top of government and the impact on national security.

My dad wrote me a letter weeks before he died when I was four. “Mummy will give you all my kisses.”

It wasn’t until I became a dad myself that I thought how it must feel to say goodbye to your young children.

These allegations are incredibly serious, it is now only right that the police investigate Peter Mandelson for potential misconduct in public office.

It's time now for the Government to put forward legislation to strip Peter Mandelson of his peerage.

It's the very least they can do for the victims and survivors of his friend Jeffrey Epstein. If Mandelson has any shame left, he'll retire from the House of Lords today.

Kemi Badenoch says she doesn’t want centrists in her party.

Instead of focusing on what people actually want, like an NHS that works, she’s choosing to imitate Farage.

If you’re sick of the name calling and just want things fixed, join the Liberal Democrats.

Fantastic win in East Dunbartonshire, where we’ve beaten the Conservatives into 6th place.

Right across the UK, former Conservative voters have heard Kemi Badenoch tell them loud and clear that they’re not welcome in her party – and are backing us instead.

Nigel Farage wants all police officers to routinely carry guns.

The shooting of innocent civilians by masked government agents in Minneapolis is the worst of Trump’s America.

We cannot let it become Farage’s Britain.

I love our country, but Nigel Farage wants to turn it into Trump’s America. We can’t let him.

Choose a brighter future with the Liberal Democrats.
The United Kingdom is at its best when we’re true to our values: tolerance, decency, respect for individual freedom and the rule of law.

We can't let Nigel Farage throw that all away by turning Britain into Trump’s America.

Choose a brighter future with the Liberal Democrats.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, we remember the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust, and the millions of others killed under Nazi persecution.

We honour survivors and renew our commitment to a country where all can live and worship safely.

Suella Braverman is teaming up with Farage to bring Trump-style chaos to Britain.
January 26, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Just like Nigel Farage, Suella Braverman idolises Donald Trump.

We can’t let them turn our United Kingdom into their version of Trump’s America.

Another chilling shooting by a federal agent in Minneapolis, this time of a nurse. My heart goes out to Alex Pretti's family.

We cannot let Nigel Farage and Reform import Trump’s dark politics to the UK.
