Every year, people mock this tree. Yet it carries an important message.

It reminds us that if we stand together in tough times, we can overcome anything.

The days of Dickensian Britain may be past - but big supermarkets are still acting like Scrooge.

It’s time to expose this scourge of shrinkflation and legally require big supermarkets to inform you when product sizes shrink despite prices rising.

We cannot allow fly-tipping to to continue ruin our environment.

The government must urgently clean up all illegal waste sites and instruct the National Crime Agency to take the fight to the criminal gangs desecrating our countryside.

When Trump meddles, Britain pays the price.

Shop staff are facing a Christmas shoplifting epidemic.

The Government must step up to protect small businesses.

Liberal Democrats have won more local by-elections than any other party in 2025.

In real elections up and down the country, only the Lib Dems are taking on Reform and winning.

There is a crisis facing our NHS. For far too many people, there is a real danger that an ambulance won’t come on time, or that they may spend hours waiting in A&E because our NHS has been pushed to breaking point.

Only an emergency package of support can shore up our NHS through the months ahead

Watch @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk's First PMQ vs Last PMQ of 2025.

Sadly, social care still remains an afterthought for this government, in 2026 this must change to fix our NHS.

Yesterday, Labour asked the Conservatives on West Sussex County Council whether they want another (sixth) year in charge.

Today, the Conservatives said yes.

Elections shouldn't be cancelled at the whim of the people up for re-election.

Donald Trump has made it his explicit policy to interfere in European politics and ‘cultivate resistance’ in the UK and elsewhere.

The government should include the US administration in the scope of its investigation.

Donald Trump has openly sought to interfere in European politics, including the UK.

The Government must expand its foreign interference investigation to include the US administration. Our politics must be free from outside influence, wherever it comes from.

Starmer’s pharma deal with Donald Trump is a disaster for our NHS and for patients. Billions of pounds will be spent to pay off big American pharma and to please the White House.

The British people didn’t vote for this.

Rejoining Erasmus must be the first step on a clear roadmap to a closer relationship with Europe.

We need to see the Government negotiate a bespoke UK-EU customs union, and commit to a youth mobility scheme for benefit of the next generation.

Nigel Farage has pocketed more than £400,000 from GB News this year.

No wonder he's cheering from the sidelines as Trump tried to destroy the BBC.

Customs Union when?
December 17, 2025 at 5:41 PM
The British people shouldn't have to pay for President Trump's bullying of our BBC.

The Prime Minister must stand up and demand Trump drops his $10bn lawsuit

Patients left on trolleys for hours. No privacy. No dignity.

This winter crisis did not start today and it will get worse unless social care is treated as the priority it should be.

Rejoining Erasmus is a real opportunity to start repairing the disastrous Conservative Brexit deal.

However it must be a first step on a clear roadmap to a closer relationship with Europe. Starting with negotiating a bespoke UK-EU customs union, and committing to a youth mobility scheme.

Trump is coming after our BBC. He’s suing it for $10 billion, and the Conservatives and Reform are cheering him on.
