really tired of seeing claims that our illegal kidnapping of the Venezuelan president is to "distract" us from the Epstein files. Trump and the men around him have wanted this for a long time. this is a bad thing in its own right, not some attempt to hide from accountability

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.

Thousands of Black people felt so unsafe in the U.S. that they fled further north to Canada. Those who remained formed vigilance committees with the help of White abolitionists. In cities like Boston, members would post handbills warning "Colored People" to avoid talking (cont)

Elon Musk's vanity AI admitted to generating child sexual abuse imagery and it won't get as much attention from the New York Times as whatever panic about trans people they're trying to incite this week
so x dot com’s ai generated CSAM and they admitted it may violate US law and … i haven’t seen in anyone in power say much at all or call to stop using the platform

This is a long and rather brilliant read.

Good. fuck all the saying "this is inevitable" or "it's here deal with it" or even "it's fine"/"it's not a big deal". This is a moveable needle. It's ruining lives (mine included already), ruining the environment, ruining art and creativity, is profoundly antihuman, isn't needed and isn't wanted.
