As goes Loudoun County, so goes the rest of the nation. And Republicans mastered anti-trans messaging in Loudoun since Glenn Youngkin's campaign. @amandabecker.bsky.social writes how Abigail Spanberger figured out how to respond to transphobic messaging. 19thnews.org/2025/11/elec...

Ironically, Democrats likely would have gained more of an advantage from the legislature's gerrymandered map than from the judge's more fair map.
I don't say any of this to blame Judge Gibson, who has followed the letter of the law. But the outcome here might be different than people expect.

I am kind of sitting here mouth agape as I realize that the thing that really got eight Democrats to cave was a provision which provides backdoor criminal and civil immunity to them personally by making it functionally impossible to ever investigate the Senate
read the actual bill text and this is quite literally a provision designed solely to impede civil and criminal investigations into United States Senators and their staff. www.appropriations.senate.gov/imo/media/do...

[rocking back and forth, vibrating] the state department should adopt the cia’s view on israel
There are multiple things wrong with this but chief among them is the delusion that the State Department position (supports two states in the abstract while doing everything possible to help prevent it from happening) is somehow popular.
