Feds have been ramming people with their cars. No one has murdered them in response.

If the suggestion here is that these officers killed Pretti because of this previous incident, that’s worse. Kicking a tail light is not a capital crime. And we don’t do delayed, extrajudicial executions here.
Okay so I was actually at this encounter, filmed the aftermath, and am briefly visible in this video, and I would point out that what he does here is briefly kick a car twice. ICE beats him up, shoots pepper balls into the crowd, and launches tear gas at everyone else before leaving.
News Movement posted this video of Alex Pretti on Jan 13, showing him spitting at ICE agents and kicking their taillight.

Now conservatives are suggesting this changes things.

That would mean they are suggesting he deserved to be target of an extrajudicial execution.

The video changes nothing.

Your regular reminder that civil service protections are generally popular because they result in better service delivery! Nothing is more wasteful than poorly run patronage systems!
There is a push for making public sector employees at will, i.e. they can be fired for any reason by politicians. Trump shows how such powers will be abused. This report does a great job of debunking claims that at will employement is working at the state level.

and they also commit crime at a lower rate than non-immigrants bc they fear law enforcement, while at the same time are targeted by criminals for the same reason: they don't report it for fear of deportation
1. Fact: immigrants are net producers of economic wealth and always have been. That is true for documented and undocumented alike because (a) they all buy things and (b) they skew working age which helps offset an otherwise aging population.

It's not just that these professional politics observers somehow failed to spot the obvious rise of American nativist thuggery.

It's how much energy they devoted to arguing the real problem was the volume, tone, and vocabulary of those raising the alarm about it.

Nine hours later, TikTok still says my video is “under review,” and can’t be shared.

that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

Yes, this is hypocritical if you’re a normal person.

But if you start with the premise that conservatives should be allowed to oppress and murdering liberals is fair game, then it follows naturally.
The people who spent years defending and even lionizing Kyle Rittenhouse and Ashli Babbitt now want us to believe that an unarmed mother in her car and a disarmed nurse were domestic terrorists who deserved to be murdered by law enforcement.
