Why isn’t the Trump admin prioritizing transparency and accountability around sex trafficking of minors?
JUST IN: DOJ says it has finished reviewing *less than 1%* of the Epstein Files for potential release.

Only 12,285 documents have been released while more than 2 million remain under review.

I know that all the cool kids are calling for trump to be tried for war crimes, but I really want to see Marco Rubio on the receiving end of a righteous prosecution.

When the LAPD arrests a dude at a gas station they don’t take over the gas station and use it to gas up all the cop cars tho
STEPHANOPOULOS: Why wasn't congressional authorization necessary?

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

So much for that quaint term "United States", in which all states were equal in the republic...
Comer: "You're gonna see the Trump administration continue to freeze funds until Democrat governors do like what the Republican governors are doing: they're complying with the federal government, with the Trump administration."

Yup. It was also another opportunity for the large follower "do something!" accounts to repeat their demands for Leaders Jeffries and Schumer to be replaced.
This was a day I should have spent blasting the Trump Administration for illegally attacking Venezuela and kidnapping its Head of State.

Instead, I spent it being attacked by various accounts for how badly the DEMOCRATS did re: Venezuela.

That wasn't an accident.

It was intentional.

Either you get the fact that the Democrats are in the minority or you don't.

Either you get the fact that the Democrats are limited in their ability to do things or you don't.

Either you get the fact that the American people did this, or you don't.

So which are you?

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

I think one way to do this is to insist that Tom Cotton, who DID get advance notice (I'm not even sure Thune did) is personally responsible for Americans who've been wounded and anything that goes haywire.
Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.

Whatever one thinks of the attack on Venezuela, you have to admire the skill and strategic precision of the military forces that stormed Madura's fortress and so effectively removed the Epstein Files from the headlines.

I mean, it’s dangerous to snitch on a criminal gang.
NYT, WaPo learned of the secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin but held off publishing what they had at the administration's request to avoid endangering US troops

Yes, our new national security doctrine, now called the Donroe Doctrine, is one of surrender, not war.

And it guarantees a future for America that is less prosperous, less safe, and less free.
We must also marvel at the titanic idiocy of our new "Donroe Doctrine" for it turns America from a global power into a regional one by choice.

I still can't really believe they are going through with this for it is so batshit f-ing crazy, and does so much lasting harm to our interests.
So is it really possible the Trump regime had no real plan for Venezuela beyond snatching Maduro? That like Putin in Ukraine they thought Caracas would fall in three days? That Trump just imagined himself in charge? That its already FUBARed?

Okay, maybe don't answer that.

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

If this is true as Trump claims, we have lunched into an extremely bad direction, far worse than before. In any just universe Congress would remove Trump immediately. Abducting the head of state of a nation we haven't even declared war on? What the hell does it take?
So fmr Honduran President Hernandez voluntarily surrendered, and was duly extradited, tried and convicted for drug trafficking, and Trump pardoned him 6w ago.

And this morning, Trump illegally attacks Venezuela and abducts its president and his wife purportedly to try them for drug trafficking.

Luckily the only place Shane Gillis would ever receive a fawning, admiring profile is in a disreputable fringe publication like The New Yorker.
Joe Rogan and Shane Gillis on Nick Fuentes running for president one day.

Rogan: “He could probably win in a few years. Listen, he couldn’t have existed before, right? Ten, twenty years ago, couldn’t have existed. Now, super popular. What’s twenty years from now look like?”
