What’s that? She doesn’t want us to say JONATHAN ROSS?

Why does she want us to stop saying JONATHAN ROSS?

Is there something wrong with saying JONATHAN ROSS?

JONATHAN ROSS
BRENNAN: Tell me about the officer, Jonathan Ross

KRISTI NOEM: Don't say his name! I mean, for heaven's sake, we shouldn't have people continue to dox law enforcement

BRENNAN: His name is public

NOEM: I know, but that doesn't mean it should continue to be said

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Is Getting Review Bombed And That's Sad But Not Surprising - SlashFilm
Star Trek has been boldly and controversially progressive from the very start, so it's no surprise that Starfleet Academy is getting review bombed.

@startrek turns 60 this year and I am proud to have been part of it for more half of its lifetime. Many pontificate over what Star Trek is and should be and which new iterations of Star Trek the late Gene Roddenberry would "like" and which would make him "turn over in his grave".

Two thoughts about Starfleet Academy:

1. It's way better than I was expecting. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season.

2. Literally every other character in the show, including Almond Basket, is more interesting than the bro they centered the first two episodes around.

1. Minnesota was less than a hundred seats away from losing a congressional seat after the last census. We are all but certain to lose a seat in the next one.

2. If Minnesota loses a seat the most likely outcome is that our congressional delegation goes from 4 DFL-4 R to 5 DFL-2 R.
Another data point indicating that Polymarket is not a “prediction market” but a public persuasion operation—here it spreads disinformation about Minnesota and DHS signals boosts the disinformation:

Understand this now:

The DSA/“progressive” Left plans to disrupt DEMOCRATS if they win primaries and elections.

THEY DON’T ATTACK REPUBLICANS. THEY ATTACK DEMOCRATS.

They’re running hostile candidates against Democrats all over the country.

Defeat them.

MAGA is a far greater threat to social cohesion than immigrants are, and it's not even close. Really enjoyed talking to @liberalcurrents.com on this podcast about my piece on Stephen Miller's worldview. This was an effort at something comprehensive and theorized and I hope we didn't disappoint:
A favorite part of the discussion with @gregsargent.bsky.social was when it became clear that in many ways it’s MAGA who are unassimilated with the basic norms of our society, whereas kids who are immigrants or the children of them are at school with all the other kids & it’s completely normal

They really, truly believe that all of us who are aghast at them are just pretending because of all the money we're being paid.
I said it before, and I'll say it again now:

These deployments are rooted in the insane theory that USAID and the rest of the government was funding American liberalism and civic society, and that by destroying USAID ICE/DHS would have free reign.

They were not prepared for *any* resistance.
They keep increasing the size and aggression of their deployments while targeting smaller and smaller places, because Stephen Miller derives an almost sexual thrill from the idea of masked thugs overrunning an ethnic enclave, but can’t find enough thugs or a neighborhood that’s vulnerable enough

Really, all they legally can do is bolster local police during a time of crisis. This isn't a kill switch for democracy.
Not sure who needs to hear this, but the Insurrection Act isn’t the same as “martial law.” It authorizes the molitary to engage in civil law enforcement. And not clear that even then, whether they can enforce state criminal laws

Once again, calling the Twin Cities "mid-tier" is absolutely tell-on-your self stuff. It's a major metro area!

Your Real ID doesn't prove citizenship.

They'll claim your birth certificate, passport, and social security card are fake or stolen.

It is impossible to "prove" citizenship to people who only want to detain you because you're not white enough.
