The President of the United States just called for my arrest and execution.

In these moments, fear is contagious, but so is courage:

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

For over 5 years, Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the people in Congress most disliked by Democrats.

No death threats.

It was only when she turned on Donald Trump that she got death threats.

Just like Senators only received threats of violence after they wavered on Trump's cabinet nominations.

And it doesn't matter if Raskin was joking about it or not. That's the problem: everyone wants to joke, everyone wants to be a comedians but real people's lives are on the line and Marjorie Taylor Greene helped put them there. This is not a joke:
If your version of the party has room for people saying wildfires are started by space solar generators funded by the “Rothschilds” then your version doesn’t deserve to win.

The tent must be big but it doesn’t need everyone. Bad people bickering is useful. They don’t all need a welcome mat.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Good article. We have reported about "Gender Exploratory Therapy" at EITM for years now - it's a subversive practice akin to "crisis pregnancy centers" that seeks to delay transition until the person gives up on being trans - they will NEVER let the trans teen transition.
Conversion therapy is quietly rebranding — and targeting trans youths
As political attacks on gender-affirming care escalate, parents and experts fear a resurgence of discredited “therapies” that seek to change transgender children’s identities.

Just how morally, ethically, intellectually bankrupt do you have to be to argue that 15-year-olds can sell sex but can’t affirm gender

Really difficult to overstate the fury one should feel that the GOP and institutions like the New York Times went all in on transphobia as some mortal threat to women and girls while covering up something like this.
When you read these Epstein emails, you start to understand why so many prominent conservatives are obsessed with checking the genitals of children. It's a big thing for them!

This is beyond disgusting on its face, but even worse when you realize that Megyn Kelly is mother to a 14-year-old daughter (per Wikipedia)
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

1. Can confirm that this is an excellent read. 2. Subscribe to @assignedmedia.org!
My newsletter for Assigned went out a little over an hour ago. It was a dissection of the position NYT is in currently, with a reputation in flux between its past as the most serious, respectable, elite paper in America and its present as the paper that asked Ms. Rachel if she was paid by Hamas.
Friendly reminder that the NYT asked Ms Rachel if she was paid by Hamas.

Such an important insight, particularly as many Dems, their consultants, and NYT oped types continue to over-index on the •wrong lessons• from 2024 election as they gear up for 2026 and 2028….
This has gotten lost: Abigail Spanberger won big after vowing to RESCIND Glenn Youngkin's executive order directing local cooperation with ICE and voting AGAINST the anti-immigrant Laken Riley Act. Yet she gained bigly with working class.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

honestly one of the most striking things about epstein's emails is the fact that the man, described in many places as "a genius," is essentially subliterate

Great piece by @oriion.bsky.social and a great representation of what research suggests is more the norm than the exception. Detransitioners generally do not identify as cisgender even after detransition and often do not regret their transition.
“The hypocrisy just proves to me that no matter what I do, people are going to be transphobic to me. People are going to question my gender. And I just have to do me.”
Her gender transition set her free. So did her detransition.
The joy that Adriana Del Orden feels in her body could have only come through transitioning. She’s tired of being told that she ruined her life.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

*young women & GIRLS

While spouting rhetoric about "protecting the children" & "protecting women" by attacking trans people, banning books, telling kids they can't say gay, cutting SNAP benefits, rolling back child labor laws & marriage age, etc...

We must name the pedophilic hypocrisies clearly.

Right, these are the two options: Either they tolerated Epstein's eugenics to get to the sex crimes or they tolerated his sex crimes to get to the eugenics
It seems like all of the rich and powerful people around him patronizingly tolerated the race science stuff (“he has such an inquisitive and childlike mind”) in order to get access to his harem of underage sex slaves
The Epstein stuff is always so amazing to me because it's like "yes he was a sex criminal but if you can get past that, he was also an avowed eugenicist"
