Shame on @tomsuozzi.bsky.social. This terrible defense of a reprehensible vote accidentally embodies the patheticness of modern Democratic Party. The fact that he thinks his support for CIR excuses him is the best part. The GOP is awful, but against the odds, Dems find a way to be even worse.

His 4th of July speech is going to be something else…
Trump: "I was with the 2 best pollsters - McLaughlin & Fabrizio - & they said, 'Sir, George Washington & Abraham Lincoln, if they came back and ran as president and VP, they couldn't beat you.' Then the following day I was told to stay tuned because there's something really bad happening in China."

It’s not just the ICE terror in Minnesota. This admin is continuing to tear up the borderlands, militarize communities, crush the endangered species, and wall people off from nature while pissing away billions of our tax dollars.

Now they're obliterating one of my favorite places in south Texas:

This is the defining description of our time: Our so-called leaders failing. Leadership is coming from everyday people in the streets.
It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

Thanks for clarifying the current** limits of a Kavanaugh Stop.

Now can you clarify what happened to the $50,000 cash in the CAVA bag?

** Litigation still pending despite stay on initial injunction. We will win in the end….
Homan: "Let's make it clear: ICE can detain a US citizen if they have probable cause that this person may have committed a crime. A short detainment and questioning, all you need is reasonable suspicion."

He's the Acting Field Office Director! His name is a matter of public record!
VAN SUSTEREN: The church -- that's a particularly troubling issue because you got a pastor, I purposely didn't name it, he's reportedly associated with ICE

NOEM: Thank you for not naming him. People don't realize that when you keep naming someone over and over, you increase the threats against them

ICE and CBP officials like Todd Lyons here are hitting TV this afternoon to spread the message that yes, ICE is arresting US citizens

"nostalgia is not a strategy"
This is the best speech, just from a pure rhetoric perspective - its sophistication and persuasiveness - that I've seen a politician deliver in a good long while. Really recommend watching or reading the whole thing.

ICE jumps to center of midterm campaigns
Democrats see an opening to attack Republicans over ICE, but they're facing intraparty divides over whether to rein in the agency — or abolish it completely.

A smart move right now would be for Democrats to have their own process identifying and expelling members of their own leadership who actively denied, concealed, and covered-up Biden's obvious infirmity.

Doing this would increase Dem credibility in the #25A fight ahead...

Trump is privately worried about the "optics" of ICE raids and his advisers are looking for ways to soften them, Axios reports. I'm calling bullshit: The terror and violence cannot be hived off from the broader policy agenda. They are 100% intrinsic to it.

Trump’s Own Advisers Suddenly Unnerved as ICE Raids Take Horrific Turn
So the president doesn’t like the “optics” of what ICE is doing. But there’s no such thing as sanitized, popular mass deportations—and this is by design.
