i still visit the small NW OH town my mom lives in, my whole family grew up in, where i graduated from HS, & those people have been laughing at me for being a Clinton/Obama/Clinton/Biden supporter, forever. they are, indeed, impossible to *get to*
Talked to a small business owner in PA just before the election in '24. "Oh, he's not going to do tariffs," she said.
He did it the last time, I said.
"I don't remember that."

Idk if that deal was right or the best timing, but people have been nuts. The GOP budget was what finished the subsidies. Harris ran on extending them. People needed to vote. We’re in a good position for the next round in Feb. It wasn’t nothing. The suffering’s on the GOP & voters/enablers.

this is 100% correct, & i think most of the people who stamp their feet about Schumer & Jeffries don't understand this
while we're on the topic, though, people keep mentioning legislators that they like as candidates for who to get the senate leader job, and, gang, you don't want someone you like in that job, because, sure as the sun will rise, you will come to dislike them

The big thing with Clinton is that he had a shocking lack of discipline in his sex life for pretty much the entirety of his life until the post-presidency and, despite volumes of reporting on his myriad of sex partners, there's never been any inclination of him being into underage girls.
