“When researchers at the Center for AI Safety tested AI agents’ ability to complete remote work tasks, not a single model was able to complete more than three percent of their assignments.”
“One notable MIT study found that 95 percent of companies that integrated AI saw zero meaningful growth in revenue. For coding tasks, one of AI’s most widely hyped applications, another study showed that programmers who used AI coding tools actually became slower at their jobs.”
AI Completely Failing to Boost Productivity, Says Top Analyst
AI may or may not excel at a lot of things, but from an economic standpoint, it's definitely not making us more productive.

"Were" in werewolf is from the old English "wer", meaning man. The old english for woman was "wif", which is where we get wife from.

So a girl with lycanthropy would actually be a wifewolf

Media selling LA as rich spoiled people to the gen pop is so funny. That's a tiny tiny percentage of this town. Most of LA is the people you see being disappeared. LA has the largest clothing manufacturing hub in the country and it ain't staffed by the likes of Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
I think a lot of the world looks at the US and sees 330 million spoiled, stupid rich people and I wish it was easier to explain why that's wrong to people who've only seen New York and maybe DC or LA, but you can never convince them that they don't understand the whole thing.

i think a lot about how the original version of "Let's Get It Started" by Black Eyed Peas, which uses a word generally agreed to be offensive, begins with a line about about how they don't mean it like that and you shouldn't get offended

like they knew it was a bad idea and did it anyway

Like Space Jam 2 was a bad movie, but Space Jam was the funniest most emotional movie ever, it’s a good movie that any child nowadays would sit down and watch happily, without going “this is boring” and “i dont know who Wayne Knight is”

The thing is that Hollywood is betraying me as an adult because yes it is giving me the same things I had when I was 13, which is exactly what it should be doing, but they aren’t making me feel the same way as I did watching them as a 13 year old and its because women did something to them

i do think even a lot of otherwise well-informed Americans really do not understand just how much Trump has already mutilated our global reputation and global trust.

it will take a long time and many acts of extreme contrition on our part to rebuild this.
I swear everything I see out of the US is "wait until the midterms. We'll get a majority back and everything will return to normal"

I don't think they're aware of the damage that's been done

Trump trying to start a weird stupid war no one wants out of spite because he's mad about not getting a Nobel Peace Prize is dead center "gag you would leave in drafts because it is both too obvious and not funny." Obviously this is all bad but it is also just incredibly hack. What a way to go.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

The argument that decadence causes the fall is just protestant work ethic with a healthy dose of British style homophobia, it is not decadence it the inability to enjoy anything other than power itself, not decadence but aesthetics-as-domination

This is what fascism provides. A mask that is your true face. A wall between you and the other that allows you to communicate without ever being asked to listen. A face without responsibility, reciprocity or sociality. A way to completely refuse your own inner life

Trump is vastly unpopular, and all signs point to whoever comes after him being vastly MORE unpopular. "How do we pry persuadable GOP voters out of Trump's grip?" is not a question that makes any sense at all to be asking.

Victory is not guaranteed, but there are things we know for certain.

Turns out to be a hard question, and the bad guys are chock full of fun and exciting advice on what you could do to oppose them. None of which will work, but you'll feel good.

And then they describe something about as useful to the situation as jacking off would be.

"Look at how much time and effort I spent on it though!"

Ew.
A white moderate's idea of protesting is always the goofiest, most ineffectual fucking thing you've ever heard. Useless, meaningless symbolism done exactly once, for the duration of a brunch.
