Virginian become Vermonter, Ellen Bryant Voigt, Goddard College Creative Writing program cofounder has put up her pen for good. On Bon Mot at 5pm today we'll hear a lovely reading from her 2nd & 3rd books from 1987 on WGDR.org. Lend an appreciative elegiac ear.

Like you, I remember W, incredulously, saying stuff like "Don't they understand we create our own reality?" and now I understand the puppet masters and their strings upon him.
I remember reading this quote in the early 2000s and it seared itself into the back of my skull.
Still one of the bleakest quotes I have ever read, from one of George W Bush’s senior advisers.
