Last time this went around my answer was “transferring a phone call for Elton John” but this time I’m gonna go with “seeing the same movie as David Byrne twice in a week.”

The number of people who have tried to get me to talk about 3D printed guns on here lately is super weird. Idk if you're feds or clueless or clueless feds, but even if I was stupid enough to engage? I've never touched a gun and never will. Your self-implicating princess is in another castle.

On the left is the ICE concentration camp near El Paso. On the right is an industrial chicken farm in Maryland. Do you know what happens when bird flu breaks out in the latter complex? Remember that Anne Frank died from typhus in a concentration camp, not poison gas.

I’d campaign my ass off for her. I don’t agree with every choice she’s made in every circumstance. But just that she comes from a working class background and has not let four terms in Congress swing her to the middle says a lot about her integrity. She’s also a great communicator.
anybody currently raging about Newsom needs to be stopped better get on board or I might think your outrage is a tad performative

ICE “left” Chicago in November, but they’ve disappeared three people from my community in two days this week.

Don’t believe the hype about them, leaving Minnesota, either.

Live thread from Wed press conference of Marimar Martínez & her lawyer. She's the Chicagoan who survived the Border Patrol ramming her car & shooting her 5 times. They justified shooting by claiming she rammed them, and other lies exposed in video, incident reports etc. Chi Sun-Times' Jon Seidel.
Parente says there's an FBI report in which BP agent Charles Exum says he "veered into" Martinez "to create space."

"That is completely inconsistent with Marimar hitting them," Parente says.

In this screenshot, you can see Exum's steering wheel turned to the left, toward Martinez's car.

Insight filled thread on small town folks’ terror of Big Cities like New York and… El Paso TX, pop 680K. By Amanda Marcotte, senior politics writer at @Salon.com.
It's true! Right-wingers really do start to believe their own bullshit about big cities.

I remember when my parents first visited me in NYC. They were legit terrified of the subway.

When they got on and saw how normal it was, they were genuinely shocked.

The racist crash outs from white celebrities who are no longer relevant (or good) has been astounding. Bud, people haven't stopped caring about you because you're white. It's because you suck now. New white celebrities are made every day.

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

“He can’t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’” Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

There’s only one channel on US television showing the Super Bowl. Watch a different one. Or crash a watch party for the wings and beer and read a trashy book until everyone cheers or groans!
In advance of the inevitable complaining about the Super Bowl I’m gonna politely suggest a “shhhh let people enjoy things.”

Here is the spirit of the “neighborism” that is resisting Trumpism: Solidarity with those targeted by the regime is imperative. For we bear responsibility. We are not just all at risk. We are all implicated.

Outside a city council meeting, a woman held up a sign:

“Be a neighbor, not a Nazi.”

To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.

It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.
