Seeing this weird trend where kids don't know popular anime from my youth, but DO know some insanely obscure OVAs that have been sitting Free on Youtube for 15 years. Copyright has paradoxically created an environment where the more popular something is, the less know it becomes.

Okay, I've watched six of the seven episodes of The Mighty Nein and I must admit, it's good. Legends of Vox Machina was a bad comedy but Mighty Nein is a legit drama with more complex and nuanced characters.

Sitting down and watching the first episode of The Mighty Nein the first thing I notice is that, despite some forced comedy, the show is significantly less dumb than Legends of Vox Machina. I couldn't stand the "humor" of that show but this one is, so far, more dramatically minded.
