And the government is pushing “100,000,000 deportation” white power propaganda extremely hard right now for a reason

Hopefully people at some point soon figure out this is an all or nothing war the fascists are waging against every single American.
Reminder: No government ever builds concentration camps it does not intend to fill.

I'm seeing people react to this in the replies and QTs like The TRiiBE said "this plan is good and Indiana is good", when their coverage doesn't do that.

It makes the narrow, very true point that the south side and Hammond are way more interconnected than the south side and Arlington Heights.
NEW — If Northwest Indiana is the leading candidate for a new Chicago Bears stadium, it’s a trip most Black Chicagoans routinely make for cheaper goods and gas anyway.

The Indiana-Illinois border is fluid for those on the South Side and in the south suburbs.

Some Black Chicagoans prefer Northwest Indiana over Arlington Heights if the Bears must leave Soldier Field • The TRiiBE
Many Black Chicagoans, especially on the South Side, routinely make for cheaper goods and gas. 'I would still see them as Chicago's team.'

The Talmud is very clear on this. The rabbis considered the trolley problem long before it was known as such. If you’re in a position where you have to make that kind of choice you attack the person demanding it.
Israel plays fast and loose with conflating itself to the Jewish people. But that's the thing - EVEN IF THEY REPRESENT ALL JEWS, AND EVEN IF GENOCIDE WAS THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE US, IT'S STILL WRONG.

The end.

That's the point.

The framing is on its face bad faith. Genocide is not and cannot be justified, even as a means of survival. If I'm given a choice of "die or commit genocide," then "commit genocide" is the WRONG ANSWER. Always. Under all circumstances. Full stop.

I will not concede any mass murder is justified.

We desperately need to stop these framings of "security."

"We can have freedom for Palestinians AND security for Israel" 🙄

"We can have safety for women AND dignity for trans people" 🙄

How about NOT conditioning liberation and just saying oppression is always and unconditionally wrong?

“Waste” is a hell of a frame to invoke at a time when the federal government is using this exact language to manufacture crises (MN daycares / CA hospice) to justify its border police to enact organized terror campaigns
Don't appreciate the most prominent socialist mayor in the country's spokesperson using the phrase "achieving efficiencies and cutting waste" when it comes to THE PUBLIC LIBRARIES that his budget did not even fund sufficiently to keep up with inflation.

This quote from Le Guin is also emblematic of why you can't be an "A.I. writer". The process is *everything*.
A writer is a person who cares what words mean, what they say, how they say it. Writers know words are their way towards truth and freedom, and so they use them with care, with thought, with fear, with delight. By using words well they strengthen their souls.

And actually we see this all the time

"Margins are tight for restaurant owners!"

Are they tighter than the employees who work two full time jobs to keep from getting evicted?

"If we raise wages for cooks, the owners won't make any money!"

Why is the worker responsible for subsidizing the owner?
Why are stakes ”too high“ for the hotel owners but not for the hotel workers?

unhoused people, social workers, and advocates all say the same thing: encampment closures are incredibly destabilizing.

why are “progressive” leaders set on this policy? perhaps violence and classicism were always the intended result of a system that responds to poverty with guns and bulldozers.

Thousands of MN families are at risk of eviction because of the ICE occupation’s lasting impacts. We can keep them housed.

the problem with giving in on things that don't poll well is that as soon as the right wins on the the things that don't poll well, they move on and start lying about more popular things to manipulate public opinion, starting the cycle again.
Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, claims that evidence suggests a correlation between undergoing Trans Medical Care and acts of violence.

He states Heritage's public policy solution is to ban it for all ages and they're willing to work towards this goal on an incremental basis.
