2. Following from 1, being a minority does not and should not mean you have to make games about being a minority or your identity because those stories are much harder to tell. You can if you want to, but don't feel like you have to. Make what you want to make, it'll have your fingerprints anyway.

3. These kind of "impact" awards primarily exist to create a comfortable bubble to stuff games in for usually overwhelmingly homogeneously white/anglophone judges that have no idea about any of the narratives or identities in games that were popular enough that they have to be considered somehow.

Just really sucks that so many of us are barely getting by (if that), and the people who stole from us are rewarded with billions. It's hard to put into words how demoralising that is.

Jim Ward, the talented voice actor who voiced Mannimarco in The Elder Scrolls Online main quest, has passed away this morning at age 66. He was also Old Longfellow in Fallout 4, Captain Qwark in Ratchet & Clank, Doug Dimmadome in Fairly Odd Parents, alongside numerous more well loved characters.

A 5-month-old baby died, & 3 surviving children, ages 2, 4, & 5, had to be hospitalized with rickets, osteopenia, vitamin D deficiency, & significant developmental delays bc their parents put them on “alkaline diets.”
Anyone saying alkalization has health benefits is a murderous liar & a charlatan.
