The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Well what do you know @durbin.senate.gov - you got ROLLED.
In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

"The provision, tucked into a measure to fund the legislative branch, appears to immediately allow for eight GOP senators to sue over their phone records being seized in the course of the investigation by Jack Smith ... into the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021." www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...
Spending Bill Would Pave Way for Senators to Sue Over Phone Searches
Republicans have voiced outrage that Jack Smith looked at G.O.P. lawmakers’ phone records surrounding the Jan. 6 attack. Legislation to reopen the government would allow them to sue for $500,000 each.

And those losses are permanent. Those buyers have found new markets so even if the tariffs go away they won't come back unless farmers MASSIVELY undercut the competition in prices.

This is just flat out incorrect.
Trump can't pardon either the civil judgment OR the state charges.

I don't know when I'll write it up, but among the things Rudy Giuliani got pardoned for is destroying the lives of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

As for me I'll be calling @vanhollen.senate.gov and @alsobrooks.senate.gov and letting them know that even thought it was just one summer 10 years ago I don't recognize the @schumer.senate.gov I worked for, am embarrassed to admit I did and that he needs to GO.

If you're a fed who lives in Virginia @kaine.senate.gov keeps pointing tot he RIF reversals etc as the thing that got him to go along.
You're still furloughed and his offices are all local. He should be facing a wave of pissed off feds today at his offices telling him "stop doing us favors Tim!"

Dick Durbin needs to learn how REAL LIFE WORKS. His handshake agreement does nothing for his constituents.
Dick Durbin suffers from a terminal case of Senate Brain, in which the big prize is a handshake deal with your distinguished colleagues where they'll allow you to hold a meaningless vote that you can then point to with pride to your constituents as they go broke from crushing medical bills.
Durbin said critics of his vote “need to understand how the Senate works”

If you have a Democratic Senator who isn't a member of the Vichy Caucus, call them today, thank them for standing up, and then demand they work to change Senate Dem leadership.

So...there's basically a Civil War going on in the Democratic Party right now it seems.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

Don't let it be lost how as soon as the Senators were personally inconvenienced by the shutdown (flight delays) they caved.

Also they wont actually get a vote just like they didnt earlier in the year when @schumer.senate.gov caved for a "promise of a vote."
Absolute fucking nonsense.
Absolute fucking nonsense.
Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.
Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

By saying this "appeared to break the logjam..." the implication is that DEMS will have caused that to fail.
It is a calculated and deliberate attempt to tilt the narrative in favor of the Republicans.
And any reporter who fails to mention that should be treated as a MAGA operative

A proposal by GOP senators to send money directly to consumers’ health accounts rather than to insurance companies showed signs of breaking a stalemate on negotiations.
