My personal BlueSky etiquette:

Federal convictions regarding Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael and William Bryan in the Ahmaud Arbery murder are affirmed (2-1 decision, dissent doesn't think the fact pattern establishes the interstate commerce hook for federal jurisdiction).

Someone made a comment about the Lord of the Rings, and it made me wonder whatever happened to Paul Davis “Gondor has no king” pro-Trump lawyer. Looks like he is anti-tariff, anti-National guard deployments, anti-vaccine, anti-Israel, and anti-Ukraine.

At common law, Larceny requires three things: the loot, the warrant, and the crook. In that order. It also helps if you are good at middle school general trivia and there is an a capella group narrating your investigation.
That’s a mystery novel trope. It has nothing to do with law or real life.

@bretdevereaux.bsky.social did the Romans have enough armor and war material post-Cannae to fully equip their army in the normal fashion? You would think that after losing 60k men there would be massive shortages of equipment in circulation even with soldiers having to buy their own equipment.

Happy that the budget passed so I can get paid to lose in cases where the court doesn’t address my argument instead of not getting paid to lose in cases where the court doesn’t address my argument.
