UK PEOPLE: this is REALLY IMPORTANT. If the government bans under-16s from using VPNs, then logically they must intend to REQUIRE AGE VERIFICATION FOR ALL VPN USE. Which will affect adults too!

one of the reasons everybody hates late arrivals from the right or even the center is they're all weepy little idiots who want to be coddled and forgiven and make it everybody else's problem. shut up, figure out how to help fix what you broke, and stop writing thinkpieces

Once again tapping my sign: ICE exist in the UK 🚨 They have had arrest powers since 2000. This government - not a hypothetical future one - is working harder than ever before to raid homes and businesses.
Immigration Enforcement raids at the highest level in UK history
Record number of arrests and raids of illegal workers across the UK including 187 raids in Northern Ireland leading to 234 arrests.

Andy Burnham played a key role in privatising our NHS as Health Secretary.

He voted for the 2003 Iraq War — an illegal invasion that led to the deaths of over a million Iraqis.

He was a member of Labour Friends of Israel, an apartheid state that committed genocide against the Palestinian people.

In the UK soldiers lifted people of the street and raided houses, busting the door and dragging kids from their beds. I know this because I was one of those children held shaking with cold and barefoot at gun point while other armed men emptied the contents of my mother’s hot press onto the floor.
One more, I am begging English commentators and journalists to remember what the UK did in Northern Ireland.

Of course what's occurring in the US could happen in the UK! It already fecking did.

So Im job hunting, and even though my design is fresh & engaging, my direction is clear & actionable, and my leadership is uniting & uplifting, I cant break through the noise

So I made what most art folks have but most design folks dont have:
A sizzle reel!

Hopefully it adds some fun to folks' day

"Look. don't provoke Trump and his circle, else they will invoke the Insurrection Act."

Trump and his circle want to invoke the Insurrection Act anyway, one way or another. Just a question of how and when.

Appeasing them ain't going to work.

can we just quickly clear up an often repeated idea that Minneapolis is a “small city of 500k” or the “47th largest city in the US”?

it is directly connected to st. paul, a city of 400,000. with the suburbs, the metro area is over 3.5 million people.

your city won’t be safer because it is bigger.

Great timing of this new PFI investment, just as the original swathe of contracts are coming to maturity and authorities are taking ownership of decaying assets that have been latterly denied maintenance, and asset maintenance companies liquidated to avoid their liabilities. As predicted 25 yrs ago.
Funding NHS facilities with private finance a breach of manifesto, Labour MPs say.

Govt paid £6 for £1 PFI investment. Private equity profiteering from NHS contracts. Public money buys less.

Govt reviving PFI, handing NHS to private equity. Govt can borrow, create money, do QE, tax the rich.

Obama got elected in 2008 as the Hope And Change candidate after two terms of George Bush and the GWoT. Rather than capitalising on the movement that gave him his electoral victory, he spent 8 years singing from the centrist hymnbook and trying to win over people who wanted to kill him.
On BlueSky, I see people who want Americans to believe that because Biden, Obama, and others did not end racism in America, they are no different than Trump, who actively encourages racist rhetoric and racist policies.

Don't fall for their lies. There is a difference, and it is worth fighting for.

It finishes Macclesfield 2, Crystal Palace 1. It's the biggest upset in FA Cup history. 117 league places between the two teams is the biggest gap overcome. Macclesfield are a semi-pro National League North team (sixth-tier), Premier League Palace are the current holders. #FACup #footy-live
Macclesfield now 2-0 up vs Palace. Would be one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history due to the gap between the two teams in the league pyramid. More significant still as Palace are the current cup holders.

In the case of Labour, I really don't think it's worth even arguing with the smug holdouts on here anymore. We know they're going to be decimated in the May Locals, and whoever is in government in 2028, it most likely isn't going to be them (or them alone). It's arguing with a political corpse.
