Years ago, an organizing crew I was part of worked to help an unhoused woman in our neighborhood get services. She was dying and qualified for a number of programs. It took a team of seven working for almost two months to secure her a warm bed to die in. Her name was Jennifer.
I know this isn’t new information but I just really gotta emphasize how goddamn difficult it is to successfully sign up for SNAP or Medicaid, even if you’re Good At Paperwork

Picked up a few things at the auction house I often shop from & they have an an adorable new 20-something nerd boy working there, & he was DEFINITELY into me -- he offered to show me the best Star Wars toys he saw in the next auction -- but I am just not up for that cougar lifestyle.
