Back from birthday date night with @ambergir.bsky.social. Went to see Heart Eyes, which kills with a crowd.

Love the effort @ninjapleasedj.bsky.social puts into these screenings. Original art from @alexpardee.bsky.social, bespoke ticket, and v-day cards for all who attend.

Some small good news! I reported the ‘band’ Glasstrees on Bandcamp for being completely AI generated.

Bandcamp customer service let me know today that they’d been completely removed from the service.

Encouraged that they’re taking the AI ban seriously and enforcing it.

I knew the ending was going to be goopy, which usually pushes me away, I really liked the whole paranoid tension from start to finish.

Her name is Zelda, and honestly she’d rather eat the books than write them.
And she’s from the SPCA from Hawthorn CA. Her and her brother Link.

Not my gremlin girl, Zelda, going viral!
Should my cat ever finish her novel, I just took the perfect author photo.

Edgar Wright’s take on The Running Man is really fun. As always, Wright has a great eye for visuals and framing, something that is noticeably missing from a lot of current films.
Entertaining, timely and with a new mix tape of a soundtrack.

Thank you, they had a crazy amount of art submitted. Tons a very creative pieces, and just getting to walk a new area looking at art while checking out shops was a fun adventure.

Getting a survey about “important issues to residents of LA” text with an ai slop image is crazy. Like, wasting water in a drought prone area seems to make a ton of sense. Not to mention the fact that we are a filled with so much out of work artistic talent to pull from without resorting to theft.

Today’s the day. We’ll be at the Frida around 5pm.
I’m also really looking forward to seeing all the other submissions and checking out all of the Santa Ana Art Walk.
Honored to announce that my submission has been accepted for the Feb-March lobby art show @thefridacinema.org

As a Transperson, in California, I’m telling you Gavin is a fucking power mad ghoul.
I wasn’t going to vote for him from the way he treats the houseless, THEN he turned his attention to the trans community and started platforming nazis on his podcast. So yeah, he isn’t a viable option.
USian trans people aren't telling you they won't vote for Gavin Newsom to cause you distress and despair.

USian trans people are telling you they won't vote for Gavin Newsom so you don't vote for his transphobic ass in the primaries.

They are giving you actionable information.

Other than the different blade housings, like score wheels, there’s not a lot that is needed that can’t be third party.
Dollar Tree carries mats, & I buy replacement blades on amazon for like $10 for 80 blades vs their name branded $14 for 1.
Lots of trial and error.

Sorry I couldn’t really help on this one
February 3, 2026 at 12:29 AM
I didn’t even know they had a card mat, I’m just now looking at what that even is. I just use a rectangle and score the center.
They hype a lot of extras that aren’t really needed
February 3, 2026 at 12:27 AM
I usually draw up my designs in procreate then bring them over. Resize and add score lines for folds. I don’t really do much with their templates because they never have what I’m looking for.
February 2, 2026 at 11:54 PM
What are you trying to do? I’m good at some things but lost on others. Doesn’t help that design space keeps moving things around

Not to sound all paranoid and shit, but I just got new glasses from Zenni and one of the options for lens coating is now IDguard.
I figured, why not.
It disrupts infrared used in biometrics. Was it worth it? Don’t know. But it does block my phone from using my face to unlock, so I know it can work.

I was just reminded about the time a lady came into my Sam Goody, picked up a cd and exclaimed:

“Lamb of God?! Doesn’t look very Christian to me!”

I wonder what’s she’s up to these days.
