Just want to take a moment to personally apologize to Arnold Schwarzenegger for voting “yes” on Prop 50. (Wanted to fight fascism!) As a gesture of goodwill I have purchased one copy of Total Recall on blu-ray (used).

Absolutely nuts to me that nobody's made Nightbreed into a streaming series yet. Just think of all the cool little guys!
I have just now completed my Halloween essay, which is about NIGHTBREED. It was just about the coolest thing I'd seen when I was 14, its flaws are more evident now, but so are its various meanings. It has dozens of cool monsters, it's pro-freak, anti-fascist, and full of imagination. I love it.

There was a time when I was 14 years old and Clive Barker’s NIGHTBREED was my favorite movie. Maybe that was too soon to move on from BATMAN, or maybe they

Frankenstein (2025) is just beautiful. I’ve always loved how @realgdt.bsky.social can’t help but wear his heart on his sleeve in everything he makes. We should all be like that. (Love those Bernie Wrightson vibes!)

Yuri Norstein once came to CalArts and showed us some stunningly beautiful scenes from his in-progress feature The Overcoat. Still in-progress 25 years later. Hope it gets finished!

SHOCK CITY has been out for a whole year?? That’s INSANE. Why not celebrate by getting a copy, leaving it a review, or hurling it at a child’s head today! shockcity.co

Neil Gaiman’s books were hugely important to me for decades, but the moment I learned he was a scumbag I stopped engaging with his work and have been shocked by how little I think about it now. It’s not that hard! There’s so much stuff!
