We think climate apathy is everywhere.
It isn’t.

What is everywhere is climate silence: people acting sustainably but not saying it out loud.
And silence slows change.

We need to get away from big tech in our current climate. Imagine the local GAA club offering open source cloud services, mesh networks etc. Credit unions with a local jellyfin service so you don't need netflix etc. Would transform tech make it local, accessible & more robust.

Nationwide on RTÉ has someone going on about the 'Galway' breed of sheep being "Ireland's native breed" with not a word of challenge.

Sheep are not naitive to Ireland and their exploitation is destroying our biodiversity.

It’s why so many people tell us they can engage with the news here in ways they can’t elsewhere 🧵

1. Don't give your DNA away, especially to US corporations fronting as 'heritage' firms. 2. Stop explaining shit to racists, it doesn't matter. The biggest racists in N. Ireland for instance, their origins largely track back to only 1600s here at best - they don't care about history or orgins then.

If you have a Brita filter these are 2 for €25 in Lidl.
Currently €51 in Tesco and €43 in Dunne’s for the same 6 filters and that’s their sale price.

The Russian Federation Council has passed a bill which will impose harsh penalties on hosting companies that do not cooperate with the FSB and other agencies. Companies must identify their customers and filter traffic or face large fines or disconnection from the Internet.

I sold stationary to princess Diana before she was a princess, a photo album to princess Michael of Kent and writing paper to Kenny Everett .
I sold biscuits to Michael Caine, mustard to Alex Guinness, and apples to Terrence Stamp. At different times but all in the food hall of Fortnum and Mason.

Working there also gave me insight into the incredible amount of booze consumed by sundry hangers on of the royal family.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

My letter in today's Examiner. I'm really fired up about this. A Dáil without gender parity will always fall short when it comes to representing women. That applies to their healthcare but also extends to labour that tends to be dominated by women such as providing care. #spéirgorm

I don’t be much exposed to mainstream woman’s fashion advertising and media so I was very unaware of Botox in terms of what it looks like. My daughter who is very in touch with mainstream woman’s fashion was home with me and we were watching various local xmassy bits on the telly 1/3
