Who are the PSNI protecting? It is well known that paramilitary groups and far-right offshoots are riddled with state agents and lower level 'touts'.
A group of women against immigrants - chaperoned by far-right male leaders, obviously - were in Belfast City Hall distributing pink knuckle dusters, classified as an offensive weapon under the CJA in NI, demanding violence against persons housed in hotels. Still no terror threat assessment.
All-female far-right group give out pink knuckledusters at anti-migrant protest
An all-female far right group founded in England has started a branch in Northern Ireland, handing out pink knuckledusters to crowds gathered at a protest over the weekend.

After watching the live coverage of this.. I have only one conclusion, that Stormont is finished. Unionists used this session to attack trans people & nationalists while accusing people of being antisemitic for calling out a DUP Ministerial visit to an illegally occupied territory. Border poll now.
Education Minister accused of 'grinning like a panto villain' and 'smiling like a Cheshire cat' in Assembly throughout no-confidence motion over Israel trip
Education Minister Paul Givan will face a no-confidence motion in the Assembly later today over his recent trip to Israel, with the vote among MLAs in Stormont expected to pass.

Would the BBC have commissioned Cathy Come Home (1966) today? Do they show the human side of poverty? Did BBC cover the 330,000+ excess deaths in Britain attributed to 'austerity' spending cuts to public services and benefits from 2010 on? Did they cover the huge marches against austerity?
No.

Completely beyond why people try to defend Labour record on treatment of asylum seekers. They are awful.
They have done terrible things the Tories never even thought of, like denying any refugee who came here through irregular means from EVER becoming a citizen & ENDING FAMILY REUNIFICATION. demons.

With 1.9 million people, N. Ireland is pretty much empty. People moving here after decades of conflict was the best thing that ever happened to this place. Imagine the safe lives people could start here if UK Gov didn't scapegoat new communities to appease fascists / paramilitaries? #RefugeesWelcome

Start with that. Like that would be one easy and simple step that would have instant effect.

I think we're going to see a concerted effort by the DUP to constantly ramp up animosity as they further tie themselves to the far right over the coming months and this is going to seem like an irrelevance in comparison to some of it.
DUP Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly has turned down an invitation to attend Catherine Connolly’s inauguration as Irish president.
It will be the first time since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement that a serving first or deputy first minister has not attended.

Every single thing the DUP can do to provoke the other community in the North is an act towards collapsing Stormont. Any delay in calling a border poll in ther North by the Secretary of State is an act of harm on a population sick of the DUP.
