A family in need of support ❤️
I have 5 kids and a wife who suffers from mitral valve prolapse. We are facing severe cold blankets or bedding; my kids sleep shivering, and my wife’s pain worsens with the cold
I hope raise urgent $200 to buy blankets and bedding🥹😭🫶

what this should make clear to everyone in this country is that it does not matter who you are, there's no "it could never happen to me"

you can be a white woman who drives around with stuffed animals in her car, and they will still kill you in cold blood and call you a domestic terrorist
The murdered woman's glove compartment is filled with stuffed animals.

Please help us. We are struggling to find food, and our situation is becoming more painful each day. We can no longer endure this hardship. We need ten kind people to donate $20 each to meet our daily needs. Your support means everything. Please don’t ignore us today!!

The ideological content of US police training boils down to "Anyone could shoot you, anytime, and you must always be prepared to shoot them first." The assumption that they are at war with the general population is baked in.

www.primerus.com/article/cont...
There is a group of people that are supposed to be composed in high stress situations, train for them in fact, get paid well for it, and are given very, very broad leeway on how they act, and yet they shit their pants constantly and cry about how scared they are all the time.
It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.

On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?
Looking for a supernatural queer read?

The worst thing is not that the US is acting like this, it's that most of the countries that claim to stand for a rules-based international order aren't immediately condemning it, summoning ambassadors and drawing up sanctions to be imposed if the US doesn't immediately desist
Trump just stole $3 billion in oil from Venezuela and he is keeping it for himself. This is called piracy.

The US Navy is Trump’s privateer force to seize ships from other countries and enrich the Trump family.

While we're talking Toyota in motorsport, I read the John Barnard book (The Perfect Car) over Christmas and he discusses a proposal for Toyota to enter F1 in the early 90s from the TOMS base in the UK...

So if I had a tooth filled on 21 November and the filling fell out on 6 January, I shouldn’t have to pay to have that tooth re-filled, right?

Right…?

In the UK add that possession of CSAM is a strict liability criminal offence, prison sentence 2-3 years. No proof that you sought the material is required. People can be and have been convicted after receiving unsolicited images. This is a serious risk, using X in the UK now.
Ask your employer tomorrow why they operate an official account on the Twitter/X web service that built a child sexual assault materials generation machine & why they tacitly approve of pedophilia. Have your fellow employees ask the same question.

We sent a formal complaint to the BBC over its repeated misgendering of trans people and use of terms like “biological male”. We’ve also written to the Women and Equalities Committee, DCMS, and the Minister for Women and Equalities. Now we need community action.

📢We now need your help! 1/3
We’ve today formally written to multiple public bodies about BBC reporting on transgender people.

Here’s who we’ve contacted and why. 1/6

Until yesterday you were a farmer. Then they stuck a spear in your hand.

You feel it first. The ground starts to vibrate. The pounding of hooves.

Then the aetherial screams from the carnyx, like nothing you've heard before.

Then you see the horses. Armour. Blank silver faces.

And you fucking RUN
With all this carnyx talk today, you can hear Letty Stott play a piece she composed for our Europa Conference in 2021 here. 👇

This sucks but I think non-Americans being justifiably angry at Americans for what the American government is doing and threatening to do, and Americans experiencing that anger and frustration personally in ways that are unpleasant, is probably an important part of any path back to stability
