Disabled gay elf princess. Creative type with too many interests.
Loves Zelda and Tolkien way too much; loves Tina even more. <3

You may know me from the HM64 projects/modding scene.

For those wondering what I am working on of late, I have been contributing custom assets and user support to various HM64 port projects.
I've also been coordinating with Tolkien Scholars and Font Designers to build consensus and reestablish common encoding of Tolkien's scripts to respect the UCSUR.
There's a weird marriage of anti-intellectualism, refusal to learn, and Snake Oil selling Carnival Barkers that has festered around computers since they became ubiquitous that I find deeply unsettling and depressing.
I just hate it when people get duped by thinking computers are magic because computers are so fucking stupid and the mystique around them is perpetuated by evil grifters

At long last, China has built the megawatt-scale airborne wind system from the classic sci-fi novel "Do build the megawatt-scale airborne wind system to produce 10x more energy".
NEW: China is testing a megawatt-scale airborne wind system that captures stronger high-altitude winds, potentially producing up to 10× more energy with 40% less material and 30% lower costs. It could also be quickly deployed to supply emergency power after disasters.

The combined representatives of three whole countries think *maybe* they'll have enough power together to hold ONE FUCKING MAN to account.
The UK, Canada & Australia are reportedly in talks about potentially banning Twitter/X over Grok’s AI image generation, per The Telegraph.

Ministers believe a joint move would send a “powerful message” to Elon Musk.

FORTY TWO.

Can we do something about the climate apocalypse yet??

Gotta say, it's incredibly annoying that developing a moderately serious food allergy has conditioned my body to respond to *all* allergens with the new reaction response.
So now it seems every time I suffer from Hayfever, I get the fun side-effect of *also* breaking out in hives.

They're DESPERATE for you to give up and accept the slop factory as The Future.
Don't.
The slop is bad, and you shouldn't stop pointing out that it is.

If you think civilian casualties are considered a mistake, or an adverse outcome, you're not paying attention.
So we now appear to be up to at least 80 Venezuelans killed.

For an operation that anonymous admin officials said yesterday was"virtually flawless."

Y'know, I'm not shocked and dismayed that people exist who just have no capacity to think for themselves, and need someone to tell them what to think and how to act.

I went to highschool.

What does deeply disturb me is just how overwhelmingly prevalent such mindless zombies seems to be.

SANCTIONS.
GLOBAL SANCTIONS AGAINST THE US.
FUCKING NOW.

I need like, China to stop sending goods to the US immediately until everyone involved in this decision is behind bars.

As Frodo did for Bilbo, we continue to celebrate Tolkien's birthday in his absence with our #TolkienBirthdayToast. Our tradition: at 9pm your time raise a glass and toast, "The Professor!"

We're already there - quietly investing more in local Defence, setting up trade deals with new partners, divesting from US Treasury Bonds and the US Dollar. The US Dollar is on the way out as global Reserve currency, too.
It's no coincidence that Gold and Silver investment is skyrocketing.
Just entirely out of curiosity: at what point does the rest of the world see the political, economic and cultural direction of the American government and have a chat about it in a room where they aren't. When, exactly, is the international breaking point. What depth must be plumbed. How and when.

The whole "Grok admits" "Grok apologizes" thing reminds me of the famous IBM presentation quote that evidently everyone has forgotten. And I do think representing your brand on social media counts as a "management decision".

Serious thing for folks to consider is, particularly for marginalized people, Grudges Are Self-Defense. What you may be interpreting as pettiness is probably closer aligned to "You have demonstrated you're not to be trusted." And knowing who REALLY has your back is more important that ever.
I feel in my bones that the wave has started to crash back in and Certain People/Companies who thought they were safe to abandon everyone they’d been pretending to care about will suddenly realize that those people have money/power and I, for one, will be holding a grudge until the end of time 💜

He's a grifter, to be sure, but I really do think he's a genuine True Believer in the techno-cult that thinks they have a moral imperative to develop AI and give birth to the all-knowing, all-powerful God, securing digital immortality, and risk eternal torture if they don't pursue it.
