They call you a feminist killjoy because misogyny is fun for them.
I’m not qualified to know whether Machado is a good person or good for Venezuela. And I definitely don’t think, in any case, that Donald Trump should be deciding Venezuela’s leadership. What I do know is that in a world where entitled white men decide everything, every woman knows this is true.
WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

Never met a person who learned universal compassion from religion. Every religion claims that a failure to follow it makes you morally less-than its believers in some way, at a bare minimum. Religion teaches pity, at best, not compassion. More often it teaches you to fear or disdain nonbelievers.

What are you going to do about the illegal war Chuck? I’m a democrat. That’s my number one* issue.

*other than healthcare for women which we both know you’ll trade away at every opportunity.
We must focus on lowering costs for the American people, not starting new wars on a whim with no tangible strategy.

“America can project our will anywhere, at any time.”

Former Fox News host and U.S. ‘War Secretary’ Pete Hegseth, in a press conference following the U.S. bombing of the capital of Venezuela and the kidnapping of the Venezuelan President and his wife by U.S. Army Special Forces.

everyone is waiting for some responsible authority to pull the lever and make this end. they do not wish to believe that such a lever does not exist. you give one totally deranged party control of the entire government, this is what happens

Reasons it’s ok to forcibly remove a president, according to the US president:

- doing crimes with family
- targeting vocal opponents
- domestic use of security forces
- humanitarian crisis denial
- weaponization of Supreme Court
- dismantling democratic elections
- ruinous economic policies

If Trump had succeeded on January 6th 2021 would that authorize other countries to bomb the White House and kidnap him and his wife
January 3, 2026 at 10:48 AM
If China bombed the White House, forced the President and the First Lady onto a military plane, flew them out of the country, and announced it on state media would that also be called a “capture” just trying to understand

This endless loop of government officials claiming they did the work but that it got buried are what makes politics feel hopeless. Is it real? Who can know? Is it on both sides? Maybe maybe not. Nobody will just say facts. It’s all wrapped in strategy and tied with an institutionalist bow.

I’m sure people will tell me this is unfair but if Jack Smith really believes he had rock solid evidence that Trump tried to stage a coup,, he had a responsibility to make it known when he became sure the case wouldn’t move forward. I get the slippery slope. Fuck that. He had a duty. As a human.

Kind of? It’s more like a player who claims the refs are always trying to fuck with them unfairly and then we pick all the refs specifically because they say they will call that player’s penalties and everyone says this is a game changer but then the refs never actually call any penalties.
