They call you a feminist killjoy because misogyny is fun for them.
This is either a gallery of obliviousness or a lineup of unapologetic indifference and I’m not sure it matters which.

The party has a choice to make. This will either be an inflection point toward a material change in approach and representation, or it will be the straw that broke the backs of millions. We are too exhausted to match their glib descriptions of infighters. There is no one left to blame.

my anger is not going away in a few weeks. it is insulting for these senators to horsetrade so that ppl retiring or not running until 2030 can vote no while they find just enough yes votes to do what the GOP wants.
i will be angry for longer than a few weeks and i don't appreciate the condescension.

We're debating on the government funding package right now and every single Republican voted against a Democratic amendment to pass a clean, one-year extension of the ACA tax credits.
Republicans just don't care about your health care.

He voted no. You keep telling yourself that he voted yes.

The correct thing to do is to make every Senate Democrat beg for mercy. They’re all guilty. If not for this vote, then for letting Schumer remain leader after the previous nonsense in March.
I mean they do fear the base, which is why people who are not in the immediate line of fire didn't vote for this. They just don't think there's a large splash zone for that rage or that it will last until they're on the block
Dem pols really have 0 fear of their base and that kinda has to change.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

What was the point of making government employees work for 40 days without pay and SNAP recipients lose their benefits if you were just going to capitulate and vote with the Republicans anyway

They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

Absolute embarrassment
Agree.
Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."
This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

If you believe that Dem leadership is fighting for you, ask them what they did when the Supreme Court took away the human rights of 50% of the nation, when two thirds of Americans disagreed with the Court’s decision, and we had the presidency. More than 3 years later. Ask how they’ve fought.

You can’t convince me that Dem leadership gives a fuck about a single part of their platform. They’ll say compromise advances immediate goals like it’s not a veil of morality shielding platitudes and placation, but, in truth, all this party does is lose the long game, faster and faster, to oblivion.

Hi I’d like a mortgage with a lower required monthly payment but I also want to pay nearly double the interest over the term and accrue equity in my home at a much slower pace.

In culture and in practice we still tend to assume that men pay the bill, and we always assume that women handle everything else, including the paperwork. This is true regardless of who actually pays the bill.
I will tell you what surprised me.Genealogy showed me that If you died, and your husband is the informant to fill out your death certificate, they don’t know your mother’s maiden name. They often write IDK or MRS. [husband’s last name]. You can be married to them over 50 years and they still….
