I think they know this deep down but don't care because propaganda at this scale is still powerful. And they've got to MAHA Fox's MAGA. It's easy to laugh at Bari sucking, because it is funny, but a serious problem in the longer term.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of the medium and its consumers. Successful podcasters and intellectual dark web types won’t appeal to CBS’s existing viewer base and aren’t likely to bring lots of new viewers / readers into the fold. Recreating The Free Press at scale is a fool’s errand.
