I doubly hate this because we all know what it looks like when all the world’s media want to ruin a politician, and the fact that they don’t do this to Trump means that they don’t want to.
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

And were trained by a gay Prussian who didn’t speak English
During the horrific winter at Valley Forge, the Continental Army “spoke German, Irish, Scots, Welsh, Dutch, Swedish, French, Mohican, Oneida, Wolof, Kikongo, and more.

“Nearly 10% were African American, most of whom served alongside whites in integrated regiments.”

-Ken Burns’ American Revolution
Particularly hilarious is his claim that 'nobody dies to defend a "multicultural economic zone"' when in fact a lot of US propaganda during WWII stressed that the nation is a multicultural melting pot. That was how we were going to defeat the master race...the one Musk is pining for.

Democrats should campaign on a 100% confiscatory tax on all wealth over $1 billion dollars. Any taxpayers with wealth over $500m will be assigned a full-time team of viscous saber-toothed IRS auditors for life.

Every time Elon Musk tweets, the wealth limit will drop by $1m.

There’s no point in American history where its culture has been merely or even primarily “English-Scots-Irish”.

The thirteen colonies had thriving German, Dutch and French communities. 20% of the population was Black. There were hundreds of thousands of indigenous people in hundreds of communities

I would die to defend a country that provides everyone within with the opportunity to become the fullest and most authentic version of themself.

Lots of people have raised their hands to do that.
We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

Yes. And it’s completely unnecessary. The Democratic party doesn’t need Al Franken or Graham Platner. We don’t need Bill Clinton.

The Democratic Party is based on principles, not personalities. When leaders violate those principles, they can be easily disposed of and replaced. This isn’t a cult.
Defending Al Franken is a petty kind of left-of-center vice signaling and I do not have patience with it. If you insist that a guy who harassed multiple women belongs in the Senate you are saying the harassment of women is unimportant and / or his accusers are all liars. Both are sexist positions.

This is ironic because I attributed like 99% of any value I brought to the army to the fact that I went to one of these schools when no one else around me did.
Hegseth to US military: if you get into MIT, we won't let you attend because of the risk that you will be exposed to ideas hostile to MAGA when you study there.

I agree that this is generally racist nonsense, but it’s also baked into America’s founding myths and toxic masculinity. The rural South with its plantations thought it was superior to the effete urban North and its merchant class.

“Working the land” is considered “manlier” than trade ledgers.
It really is amazing how much of political punditry, *especially* elite outfits in NYC and Washington, still embrace this bizarre idea that rural spaces represent the "Real America" while metropolitan areas, where most (presumably real) Americans actually live, should be held in contempt.
Just going to point out again that our arbitrary political rules permit Republicans to attack urban areas with impunity but strictly forbid the faintest whiff of condescension toward rural areas by Democrats

Seriously, my kingdom for a chrome extension that highlights and tags every asshole in the Epstein files whenever they pop up on the web.

There are just too many for anyone to keep track of, but they all need to be expelled from society.
There's a short video clip of Pinker and Epstein on the plane and a girls voice says "where are you taking me" and this is the still from it. So I don't know what he's talking about.

When Western countries threw off monarchism, men threw off courtly dress, which left silks and colors and fashion itself to women for the first time in history.

Within a few decades, fashion had become “womanly.” Sexism made what could have been a quick trend stick around forever.
Want to know why men’s clothes are so boring? The Enlightenment. Then republicanism. Then sexism.

As a Californian, I’m old enough to remember when Gavin Newsom looked like the bad guy in a 90s rom com and was running on both the Democratic and Republican ballot lines in SF on promises to crack down on the homeless.

Just in case anyone questions why I don’t trust him.

Clearly protected by the secret clause to the first amendment that protects white ladies after they’re day drunk.
KMBC: "A woman tried to set a fire at a South Kansas City warehouse that had been rumored as a possible ICE detention center. Earlier today, the company that owns the property confirmed it is no longer moving forward with a sale to the U.S. government."

The thing people need to understand about Newsom is that he isn’t categorically good or bad on any issue because he only cares about himself.

If trans people are in his way, he’ll hurt them. If they can help him win, he’ll support them.

He’ll kill anyone for votes. He’s open minded like that.
GTFOH with this "he's vetoed some bills I wouldn't have vetoed," as if we're talking about inconsequential shit. Hasan is 100% right about Newsom.

During periods of upheaval, the leaders who rise to the top are often the lonely voices from the periphery who ended up being right about everything all along.

Trump was a Nazi. Health care is a human right. No one is illegal on stolen land. Amazon would have been terrible for Long Island City.
anybody currently raging about Newsom needs to be stopped better get on board or I might think your outrage is a tad performative

I for one don’t think we should have prisons that anyone would describe as “a living hell,” even for the worst of the worst offenders.
Big news tonight: Federal judge Tim Kelly has BLOCKED Bondi & Trump's attempt to transfer 20 men to an infamous super-max prison.

Biden granted these men clemency, and Trump has been trying to retaliate by plunging them in a place that people describe as a "living hell," as Bolts reported here:
Death Row Prisoners Granted Clemency by Biden Brace for "Living Hell" Under Trump - Bolts
Trump officials are retaliating by imposing the harshest conditions in the entire federal prison system, including near total isolation.
