Democrats winning when they run like Democrats. Here’s why that’s bad news for Democrats. www.msnbc.com/msnbc/news/m...
As Mamdani nears victory, Democrats worry about national fallout
The progressive candidate is on the cusp of a historic mayoral win. And that's adding to unease among Democrats looking for a way back to national power.

Kat is the hero Americas needs, and we’re probably not going to get out of this mess until most of us are willing to throw our bodies in from of the state’s fascist machinery.

This is the kind of leadership that makes it into history books.
I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

The dying gasp of an obsolete generation of straight white male sex pest politicians who are big mad that no one wants to listen to them anymore.

This guy made $5m consulting last year and could be off doing literally anything other than this, but instead has decided to torch anything left of his reputation in a doomed attempt to reign over a city that he clearly despises and which clearly despises him.

Just go away, Andrew.
So here's Andrew Cuomo reacting to Maria Bartiromo wondering if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he's a citizen of Uganda."

I sometimes try to imagine a world where Christians were known for their Christ-like love and concern for the poor and vulnerable instead of stuff like this. www.newsweek.com/church-preac...
Church doubles down after preacher encouraged prayers for LGBTQ deaths
A preacher from the Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Indianapolis said LGBTQ+ people "deserve the death penalty."

I hope that someone is working on some big splashy queer counter programming to play against the HBO Harry Potter show.

Give us Queers in Space or Hunter Schafer Fights Dragons or something! We’ll watch!

The biggest issue in America is the disintegration of the old constitutional order, and if you’re not going to campaign on it, you’re also not going to do anything about it if you win.

All that is needed for evil to triumph in the world is for Democrats to do nothing.
GOV. WHITMER: “.. no one is worried about building a ballroom in Washington, D.C. What they want is to make sure that they can feed their kids next week.” Most Americans are “never going to step foot in a ballroom over the course of their lifetime.”

This should be another article of impeachment.

My feelings about my military service are complicated and ever evolving, but one thing that I’m certain of is that my experience of war, of doing violence and having violence done to me, all for no reason whatsoever in the end, has left me with an almost crippling empathy for my fellow human beings.
Bernie's implication that a veteran is just expected and allowed to be awash with toxic masculinity had me thinking today about the time I read @lorencrowe.bsky.social (one of the gayer men [laudatory] I'm aware of)'s jaw-dropping Silver Star citation.

I hope that people are talking to Ayanna Pressley about running.

Markey could lose or he could kick off during the campaign, and having one of MA’s senate seats locked up by the John Fetterman of Marblehead would be a disaster.
I’ve never seen a race where I think Massachusetts loses in either scenario

Anyone working for ICE needs to be frozen out of American society forever.

If they hate this country so much that they’ll go to war against it, then they can leave.

Videos taken by eye witnesses of federal agent encounters with immigrants in Chicago and elsewhere have shown increasingly tense incidents. Immigrant advocates and observers say they're indicative of a larger trend of aggression among federal immigration officers.

This is the way.

Democrats who won’t campaign against Trump won’t do anything to fight him once they get elected.
October 14, 2025 at 11:28 AM
Frankly, I’m shocked that Trump actually thought he might get a Nobel Prize. I thought he was just gassing himself up this whole time.

What a bonkers thing to think!

In a sane and just world where the police actually served and protected the public, local cops would be patrolling immigrant communities and arresting ICE agents for assault and kidnapping.

Democrats need to say what they believe — and actually believe in something.

Shouldn’t need to be said, but murdering random fishermen in international waters is absolutely political violence, which I’m told we all abhor.

JFC. I use this public bathroom all the time because a) it’s right in between my home, work, school, and the Garment District, and b) I drink a ton of water all day.

No more I guess. Stay safe out there. I hope someone sues.
While NYPD officers are bound by New York City’s sanctuary city policies, Amtrak Police are federal officers who do not have to abide by those protections even when working inside of the city.

This 1899 ad for men’s corsets is real, and it’s spectacular.

It’s like, “I’ve got it! We’ll butch up the corset by naming them all after British Field Marshals!!”

Liberalism has *always* been “of the left.”

The left-right spectrum analogy was literally invented to describe liberal revolutionaries vs. defenders of the status quo.
