God toiled for 7 days. 7 days of the week. 7 cardinal sins. 7 dragon balls. 7 seasons in a year. "Seven" contains seven letters. "Letter" contains twelve. 12 disciples of the Christ. 12 tribes of Israel. 12 founding countries of Europe. The human body contains 12 vital organs. 12/7=3. 3+7=9=God.

Bezos gets to choose on a whim to destroy the Washington Post, just as Thiel can destroy Gawker, Musk can ruin Twitter, Ellison can take over TikTok, etc. Millions of others' opposition counts for near nothing.
I realize this puts me in oft mocked MMT territory, but it seems to me the value of taxing the rich is not to fund government but to compress the wealth distribution, so as to ensure those up top are not so disproportionately wealthier than others as to be able to exercise vast undemocratic power.

A fundamental problem with this country is that you have less responsibility, transparency, and duty as you gain more power when it should be the opposite. The Supreme Court gets to be very secretive for no good reason. Cops get a monopoly on violence and have near total immunity when they use it.

it’s not necessarily that all these people in the epstein files participated in the raping of girls it’s that none of them cared and if he hadn’t been arrested and died they’d still be out there trying to be his friend

The thing that shocks me most is that all of this incriminating stuff was sitting at the DOJ for 4 years and Biden & Garland were not cynical or ruthless enough to use it against Trump & Musk in the run up to 2024.

If only they were the evil ‘weaponizers of government’ that MAGA claimed they were!

Real talk, if Thomas Paine were alive today he'd currently be in prison for sending "The Case for Bombing Their Homes" to his 500,000 Substack readers and then minutes after hitting the publish button attempting to purchase 57 tons of fertilizer
I think that overall substack has been a net negative for the American experiment, which is very funny because Thomas Paine would have loved substack
