It's right that trans people should be able to refuse to be subjects in research being conducted with an aim of reducing their options in life, reducing their comfort and wellbeing.

If you're gonna be an "advocate" for a group, you might take a second to learn their history. The anti-gay movement has used "gay-identified" for decades, specifically to distinguish from "non-gay identified homosexuals", in an effort to stress that being gay is a choice and can be reversed.

Being isolated when you're trans makes you vulnerable. Online communities are often a necessary lifeline for vulnerable trans people. It's not exactly hard to see how not tackling the actual problem, but instead the fashionable one, is dangerous here.
And how do those children typically access the media they've been radicalised by? 🤔
