the most brutally devastating burn I ever saw on Twitter was somebody who said that David Bowie saw the MeToo movement coming toward him over the horizon so he just went ahead and died 💀

and it’s true! that did kind of get him off the hook!!

Please watch and share this. Sophie is doing an amazing job of getting our story out there. And it really is helping. The ICB are rattled, they didn't count on us speaking out. Please help us keep up the pressure on them.

This week's (Delayed) video.

@sophiemolly.co.uk And I have been under the weather, but here is this week's video. I interviewed her about her article on the Sussex ICB scandal.

I'm sorry @emilykerr36.bsky.social I completely forgot your name when I recorded this.

QANON CULTIST IN 2017: "In this 1,879 page thread I will unravel the byzantine system of codewords and phrases the global elite use to mask their pedophile cabal."

JEFFREY EPSTEIN WRITING AN EMAIL AT THE SAME TIME: "helo its me jeff had fun cmmitting sex crimes wit u lst weeknd"
pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

every single one of these emails is someone I already hate messaging a notorious pedophile to say "Thanks for the great time! I had fun doing pedophile stuff with you. P.S. Trump was there with us the whole time"

If you want to convince evangelicals that immigrants are actually people you have to write a very long essay detailing their entire lives. You have to counter every dogbrained “coming here the right way” argument in advance. And it still probably won’t work because evangelicals can’t or won’t read.
Christianity Today is an influential magazine in Evangelical circles, and it's a noteworthy signpost that they're doing stories like this because it's the kind of story that pops bubbles.

A Colombian couple prayed with neighbors and raised their children in one of America’s most influential churches. What did we gain from their deportation?

honestly the most cynical take is that this has everything to do with 1) MPs being annoyed their plans are being thwarted and 2) AI and other big data companies annoyed we are polluting their tracking data with garbage
I don't believe that AI powered surveillance software works. I know for a fact that they can't ban vpns without upsetting the all-powerful gods of business, because, if any of these people had had a real job in the last 20 years, they'd know vpns are an essential part of office IT infrastructure.
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.

My trailer for a nostalgia-drenched, unfunny family-focused Austin Powers reboot, ala Ghostbusters: faint orchestral rendition of that bossa nova song. A kid wearing the glasses discovering a dusty Swedish penis pump in an attic. Liz Hurley in old lady makeup saying "Your grandpa..was very horny.."

At this point I do sincerely believe this anti phone and social media drive is rooted in the "social contagion" idea of being trans. They do not think she died because she used her phone, they think she died because people in her phone convinced her she was a girl.

My daughter was beaten, spat on, outed & bullied AT SCHOOL, btw. The only reason she wasnt beaten worse was because she got away, locked herself in the toilet and FUCKING PHONED ME.

How would removing her phone have kept her safe?!
I'm the parent of a trans teen a year younger than Brianna should be. She's been beaten, spat on, outed & bullied out of school. By children who have grown up surrounded by toxic transphobia. She didnt leave the house for over 2 yrs - her online trans friends were the ONLY ppl who understood 1/

and it self reinforces - now when people in their lives try to come out - don't you see how dangerous it is, don't you see how hellish your life will be why you're banned from every facet of life, violence is spiking etc etc.
If they can get away with banning us from so many facets of life, then when the next part of the plan comes, most cis people will shrug and say, "well, they weren't really part of society anyway".

"Are there even any-" it doesn't matter. Banning the few trans athletes isn't the point. The point, from Trump's ban on trans people in government to Britain's bathroom ban to Newsom's sports ban, is to make sure everyone knows trans women are OTHER and to act accordingly to us in their daily lives.

Theresa May, the buffoon of "Brexit means Brexit", was to the left of Keir Starmer on trans rights.

That's the kind of fact that mainstreaming bigotry forces us to recognise.
The ability of the far right to insist that their views - trans people are lying perverts, climate change is a hoax, immigrants are all thieving, raping scum - are necessarily legitimate & must be given a hearing is already a vast victory for forms of extremism beyond the pale not long ago.
What bothers me is that impartiality and balance are two different and incompatible things. Impartiality means that you don't intervene to put your thumb on the scales. Balance necessarily requires that you intervene to artificially make every issue look like a 50/50.

i wish it was possible to peer into the past to see if this hedonistic treadmill was as severe in past generations

like were people in the 1940s smugly talking about how the spread of electricity isn't good evidence of economic prosperity
