Truly, no matter how this goes, I will spend the rest of my life knowing that I, like many others, knew what was coming in the early 2010s (if not how ridiculously bad) and while I did an immense amount of good work in 2017-20, it wasn't nearly enough.
i don't particularly disagree with a lot of the critiques of anarchist activism by liberals but I bristle when they act as if their best practices are any wiser. we're here because none of us figured out how to avoid being here.

Not making the empirical claim that disruptive protests can never be effective, many of them clearly have been, its contextual. But it’s pretty striking how huffy a certain type of guy gets at the abstract idea of “it matters if a protest is effective at persuading people”, beyond the pale to them.
As an aside, this is similar to those who argue it is ineffective to protest by marching down streets and causing traffic delays because it means I can’t get to where I want to go.
Sure I’m for your rights, but this just hurts your cause because I’m inconvenienced.
