We had a beautiful morning at the Hansen Dam for Shine LA with Hope the Mission!

In addition to beautifying the park, the Family Fun Run 5k, and neighborhood block party, volunteers and celebrity guests came together to prepare 10,000 meals for the residents of Hope the Mission’s 33 shelters.

In the last week, the Inside Safe Field Intervention Team housed nearly 70 Angelenos living in long-standing encampments, cleared 10 RVs, and removed more than 18 tons of debris through two coordinated operations in South Los Angeles and Lincoln Heights.

After record rain over the holidays, City crews got straight to work. Since Christmas Eve, we’ve repaired more than 9,000 potholes across Los Angeles.

Heavy rain seeps into cracks in the road, weakens the asphalt, and when cars drive over it, potholes form.
