If you voted MAGA or were eligible to vote and didn't, or wrote in, we don't have anything in common. You clearly didn't understand the assignment.

I keep seeing comparisons between Schumer and Harry Reid that are disturbingly irrational. It's not nearly apples to apples.

Look at the differences in Senate margins, procedural options (perpetual filibusters), cohesion within the caucus, and the level of congressional and public polarization.

How Today’s White Middle Class Was Made Possible By Welfare
Whites, angered at blacks and immigrants receiving "government handouts," forget they were lifted out of poverty through racially exclusive welfare programs in the 30s.

Why does the thing Americans voted for keep happening? Why won’t somebody just stop the thing that the majority of the people who participated in a representational democracy voted for? How could we possibly have stopped this thing in a country where an absurd number of people just aren’t voting?

I don’t know the next move. I don’t know if there is a behind closed door strategy at work here. But I’m going to remain patient while everyone is coming for Democrats like there’s a “good” move available. Because I’m not going to allow myself to be rage baited every damn day.

This 100%.
It's time to stop amplifying accounts who are Anti-Democrats. Especially those whose only lean is to constantly trash our party, when all of this preventable mess, is due to Trump and the GOP who control all three branches. Many lack political investment in harm reduction!

That's a consideration. People don't seem to realize that it has to go back to the House for revision and pass there, then get passed by the Senate, then signed by 🍊.

Rs were happy the shutdown was keeping her out of congress, and the Epstein files out of sight. Full circle now.

Their move.
Been thinking a bit and beginning to wonder if the gang of 8 is betting on Mike Johnson refusing to bring the House into session because he doesn't want to seat Adelita Grijalva so she can be the 218th vote that activates the discharge petition to release the Epstein Files.

Just musing.

Frankly, I wish we could have held put longer. However, the deal doesn't leave us empty handed, which was my initial concern.

It still has to get through the Senate, the House and get signed by Evil 🍊, so I won't exhaust all my energy on a deal that still has a winding road to traverse.
