We have nowhere to go after tonight. As of right now we can't afford more nights at the hotel, we won't get more SNAP or funds for several more days, & we're all exhausted & sick.
We're looking at being on the street in 24 hours. We very urgently need help.

i have to pay $1300 to my oncologist before my next appointment on friday. i owe $6322.

(this is the new oncologist- my previous oncologist got a warning for helping me beyond the scope of medical practice (he helped me to get funding & wrote off some of my bills))
as you know, i'm behind on so much & can only pay bills depending on how much i receive in the form of mutual aid

if you click on my ko-fi goal, there's a list of immediate needs that i need to cover & there's also a list of the medical debt that needs to be cleared ASAP.

Hey #WritingCommunity, if you like romantic fantasy but hate ICE, consider picking up Kelsey Epler's "The Monsters We Keep" and "The Sins We Reap", because she's donating this month's proceeds to mutual aid in Minnesota!

A 16 year old San Antonio kid was essentially killed by a football coaching staff during an offseason workout.

Players were subjected to punishment drills and repeatedly noted the distress of their teammate, to no avail.

After he collapsed, the rest of the team was compelled to continue the drill.

This is something the Nazis used to do to Jewish children in the camps. It happened to a man I knew when he was a child in Auschwitz. The camp guards thought it was funny as hell.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Thank you, @anitawadhwani.bsky.social and @tennesseelookout.com for alerting TN.
This shows how important local reporting is when even the Mayor nor state lawmakers are aware what the feds are planning on their turf.

Few details have been made available and neither Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto nor state lawmakers were aware of the purchase. Props to @anitawadhwani.bsky.social for getting the story.

In Small Folk in Big Coats you each play as a little guy in a stack masquerading a single big guy. You're unlikely to get caught, but you’re even less likely to work together.

It’s very silly and easy to get playing. Go Check it out!

Some old art of these 3 lovelies!!
I gotta draw them again this year tbh, it's been so long since I've done so!

Harper and Penny are background characters, while Elvira does actually interact with the main duo during certain parts of the plot of DCM

It's incredibly corrosive to the ability of agencies (and society at large) to operate if the executive branch can simply decide to ignore Congress. Having reliable processes is essential to operations of bureaucracies, but Vought et al. don't care. And it's outrageous.
