And that's what I mean when I say ageism for a life time. Cuz when someone is parentified and made to process trauma and self regulate/ self soothe from the time they're kids and into adulthood. That's inevitably gonna reproduce ageism.
That parroted social scripts doesn't add up when you're talking down to ppl that already were parentified in their youth. And that's how I know they just parrot shit to pathologize while the material conditions get worse.

Ageism for a lifetime is exhausting
That's a unique form of struggle that comes up of keeping an individual in survivor mode for so long. The exhaustion of being parentified from a young age is a different type of fatigue. So of course privileged ppl on easy mode would purposefully conflate and distort that.

You don’t have to want kids or even enjoy being around them. But it’s also worth unpacking why kids simply existing, learning, or having unmet needs reads as “annoying,” “unlikeable,” or “bad behavior.”

Some ppl get involved in social justice and point out things like ableist language or ageism that promoted violence against kids. Because recognizing all that is preemptive to the victim appeals that ppl that have gotten away with their actions now lean into.
Especially because the science of in-groups shows how much in-group belonging and recruiting mechanisms rekt in appealing to "love" enmeshed with co-victimization. (To justify violence against the perceived "enemy" outgroup).

Unexamined ageism and internalized colonialism/patriarchy will do that.
Alot of the "well meaning" "left" doesn't realize they still foster sympathetic relation with bigots because they share similar co-victimization appeals as it relates to settler colonialism.
But again this is why I've already explained 50 million times why Natives use broken treaties as metonymy and that's different from other co-victimization appeals.

One thing about patriarchy and realizing that hatred of women and children is intentional. I've always resented how ppl talk about patriarchy as if it's accidental and separate from misogyny and ageism.
It used to be a trope for someone to pearl clutch and go "will someone please think of the children" but literally nobody will even do that. Cuz ageism. Eugenics. Machiavellians who see women and children as an enemy to overcome.

Most people in the US have no idea what's going on, at all. They either live very sheltered, comfortable lives, or they suffer on a daily basis and don't know why.
