Inspired by this let's take a Journey through my Borefts life.
In 2009, a small brewery in a small Dutch town hosted a small beer festival (maybe 100-200 people).

Thread.

Definitively one of the most momentous events in legal history. It should be a public holiday.
Today is the 5th anniversary of the release of the infamous #Lawyercat video, which I posted roughly thirty minutes after the start of the second impeachment trial. Who would have thought it would have such a lasting impact on the world! Happy Lawyercat Day for all who celebrate!
Happy #Lawyercat Anniversary for all who celebrate! It's been four years since the kitten appeared in my Zoom courtroom, and I released the 48 second video that made the whole world laugh. Here is the full video showing the big reveal at the end (in two parts because Blue sky). Enjoy!

and that's what I've long said is Britains problem . Far too many and not just the retired hate to see anyone get anything their not getting .no matter how little the need it nor how much the other might
The thing is he's not pitching this to people who work, he's pitching this to retired people who are furious that other people might get marginally better working conditions than they had.
BREAKING: Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home and the focus on work-life balance

"People aren't more productive working from home - it's a load of nonsense”

Whatever you do JUST DON’T VOTE REFORM!

its all because politics became a 'career' ir stepping stone rather than a vocation
Nobody voted for Tim Allan. Or McSweeney. Or Cummings.

Why is the functioning of our democracy so dependent upon people that literally nobody voted for?

Who are these goons? Who empowered them? And why? What's their agenda? Who pays them?

The way it is is not the way it should be.
Tim Allan may be getting less attention than Morgan McSweeney, but his links raised serious questions - and they’re part of the wider pattern of questionable appointments.

This isn’t really about individuals.

It’s about the state of the Labour Party.

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

Des was a man of many layers. Years after the event, I discover my first interaction with him was buying the 12” remix of Charlton Heston by Stump - that was him, as half of the Irresistible Force. He made the Popbitch newsletter as Secretary of the Ramblers Association (moor, geddit?) 1/2
Terribly sad to hear of passing of Des de Moor, an absolute gentleman, kind & generous. Talented writer of award-winning books inc. his comprehensive Cask, London's Best Beer & Pubs. Des conducted historic pub tours of London sharing his passion & knowledge. You will be missed RIP

absolutely what I've bwen saying Starmers labour looks and feels like We just want our turn at the trough . tye same freebies , the same commercial interests . the same dodgy funding , and absolutely power over principles
The departure of Morgan McSweeney exposes Starmerism for what it is: a political project built on deception, created by people guided only by an insatiable desire for power, and a belief in their own invulnerability.

The Purge That Devoured Its Architects
The same shameless tactics that Starmer used to purge the left are now destroying his project from within.

Might be a good time to post this @pelliclemag.com article about a great pub in Leith

Problems All Left Alone — The Persevere, Leith — Pellicle
When I walk into a near-empty Persevere on a drizzly Leith weekday, its vastness swallows me up like a whale. Moments later, when I gingerly take my pint of Newbarns Pale Ale to the table and sit in ...

Absolutely wild that these fuckers who have been in the Labour inner circle for 20+ years are all acting like Mandelson being associated with a notorious sex trafficking nonce and just generally being a massively dodgy slimy corrupt individual is Brand New Information.
Baroness Jacqui Smith says its easy with hindsight to condemn the decision to appoint Mandelson.

Everybody knew that Mandelson had stayed at the mansion of a convicted paedophile. I guess Smith doesn't have a problem with that.
