Hello @support.bsky.team
I heard from Sarah Kendzior @sarahkendzior.bsky.social that her account was suspended.
Can you please look into this and reinstate her account? She’s a published author and scholar on authoritarianism. Her presence here is valuable.

There appears to be no explanation given so I would hope @support.bsky.team will remedy this error. It is chilling to see that this writer and scholar is removed without cause and Kendzior is a vital voice in these times.

Looks like the constant failures of BBC news and current affairs are gonna take the other, reasonably good 85% of the organisation with it into oblivion

I read an Anthony Horowitz book once because I thought his cosy crime stuff might be politically unexceptionable, but it was really creepy because you got the impression he'd made the detective character his self-insert character was working with homophobic just so he could write the homophobia

Grow up and either make a trashy spy movie or don’t, but stop trying to act like it’s a Herculean effort to come up with a new reason to show a middle aged man do wild stunts, have weird gadgets, and recklessly sleep with as many people as possible in exotic locations.

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

If we're talking about bias, why do BBC politics programmes, from Politics Live to the Laura Kuennsberg Show, still always begin with a look at the newspaper front pages, which are overwhelmingly biased in one direction. Helps frame the entire news agenda and debate in their favour

Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill are doing a a podcast called Pondcast where they reminisce about Doctor Who. No word on when it will become available but they’ve already recorded a few and have had Steven Moffat as a guest.

The Tories admitted to parachuting people into institutional positions of power in order to work as insider ‘agents’ pushing political/ ideological agenda.
They did it to attack trans people.
What makes you think they weren’t also pushing other agendas???

People who object to terms like "birthing person" think they're being used as synonyms for woman, but they're not - that's the whole point. A childfree woman like me would never be called a birthing person. A 12-year-old giving birth wouldn't be called a woman.

Yes, "pregnant people" is inclusive language that describes pregnant cis women AS WELL AS trans men and nonbinary people, a lot of whom can get pregnant. But it also describes, like, 12-year-old girls who get pregnant. Do centrist pig-dogs think THEY are "women" too? Coz...bit of a red flag, that.

No women ever commented on, or took part in, Nuremberg then? No women ever discussed or thought about the problem of Nazi evil and its banality? No Rebecca West, Martha Gellhorn, no Janet Flanner, no Hannah Arendt? Just an all-boys affair for an all boys evil.

Sorry, am I genuinely being asked to believe that the BBC is biased in favour of trans people?
I cannot remember the last time a trans person was given a voice on the BBC. It's as if they don't exist. They are talked about on the BBC, not talked to.
This entire debate is just fucking stupid.
