Still trying to process my excitement about this, here is my ludicrous show which I love dearly, selected to go to the Annecy Festival with Women in Animation
It is extremely good if you haven’t seen it yet, the set logistics alone (the people bushes!) are crazy

And he is quite obviously amazing.
Missed Bad Bunny’s halftime show? Want to rewatch? (4x and counting for me). The NFL posted the whole performance on YouTube: on pace for 500k views in the first 30 minutes.

Every depiction of ‘peer pressure’ to take drugs on TV growing up literally never, not once, happened in real life for drugs

Or for anything, until, decades later, it is literally happening for AI
No one has ever tried to sell me drugs as hard as people try to sell me on AI.

This analysis is v good and again, underlines the point of why it is so important to continue to make art
Trump is badly losing the war over ICE, not just on the streets, but also in the culture. As Bad Bunny shows, this has become a culture war unto itself. Trump-MAGA's initial hubris has been utterly deflated.

I've got fresh data illustrating the point. 1/

Trump Rages at Bad Bunny—and Accidentally Exposes a Big MAGA Weakness
MAGA’s hatred of the Super Bowl halftime performer reflects a hubris about what parts of the culture are “theirs.” But those assumptions are proving more wrong every day.

Kids are not sitting quietly in a corner reading their way through the encyclopaedia any more and it shows

I want to ask this again. What is with people who decry AI art and music but then literally have some copilot or chat gpt box open on their desktop all day.

The last few weeks all of a sudden people have just casually been telling me to look stuff up on AI as if it’s no big deal
February 9, 2026 at 12:24 PM
Is anyone here Gen Z or work with Gen Z - do you/they all really just use Co-Pilot & ChatGPT as a kind of search engine+ that’s open constantly, and look at you like you’re insane if you don’t

Typically no one who is lovely, empathetic, charismatic, good with kids, has natural stage presence and is fine as hell would ever want to be a politician - and he is single-handedly proving that is exactly what’s wrong with the world

"Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake."

Everything would have been ok if everyone had given just a bit more money to Bernie Madoff
I’m seeing the argument that Mandelson’s corruption is evidence that MPs should be paid more. Because giving the greedy more, just like allowing fascists a little more racism, is a sure-fire way to stop them. Fucking idiots.

I have been watching the bit in For Your Consideration of Catherine O’Hara mimicking a facelift by just… stretching her own face - over and over again this whole week

This is why also they are so hellbent in creating a population dependent on AI for their critical thinking - a tech they control

And therefore especially evil is the push for any AI in kids’ toys or education media, & to put AI in schools
Sociologist C. Wright Mills saw this coming—and tried to warn us—60+ years ago.

Literally how many of those are people who signed up ages ago but actually haven’t posted anything in years and probably don’t even look at it any more
UPDATE: I've had a response from the Cabinet Office!
"the statistics cited ‘19.2 million British citizens registered with X and 10.8 million families using the platform’ were provided by OmniGov, the government's media buying agency, who received this data directly from X itself."

Bezos burning the Washington post to the ground is as firm a reason for the continued bbc licence as ever there was. Eventually everything that can be owned by a billionaire will be owned by a billionaire and at that point its future will be determined by the whims of a man making 166k per minute.

The best improvisers are the ones who are simply… normal about things
Child at the podium: “A woo woo woo.”

Mamdani: That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan. Together, we will expand the idea of what is possible in our city—and what sounds and noises we can make at a press conference.

I didn’t quite realise the extent of Wes Streeting’s awfulness, but he really has a very varied portfolio in being completely awful
Zack Polanski, "Palantir.. £240 million contract last month"

Please can we add to this calling what those lunatics did as organised rape networks, child kidnapping, child rape, child kidnapping

Rather than… the salacious but jubilant euphemism “Sex parties” for goodness sake, or the unforgivable phrase “underage women”
You don't have to obey anyone's framing. Calling them British Petroleum. Call it a chatbot instead of "artificial intelligence". Use real emissions, not adjusted for offsets or certificates. It's all allowed!!!

I have this very clear feeling that part of making the Melania movie - which was completely an optional project - other than the bribery or laundering or tax write offs of it all - is they knew everyone would hate it & mock it and so they did it purposefully to humiliate her & keep her in check

I think now almost two years since I ran fleeing from Adobe and it has been wonderful and also not wonderful

I haven’t quite replaced photoshop with a workhorse do-everything kind of software that I can dip into to sketch but also do some crazy tricky comping of big files for print.

invariably “new features” Adobe added to the rest of their line up was the cursed AI pop ups that demand to do everything for you, so maybe at least in its death Adobe Animate was spared such a hollow, humiliating fate
Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

So they're just GETTING RID OF IT???

I believe this very much and it is very very welcome. I am already seeing moods change in exec meetings even over just a year

2024/5: “is there a way we could do this in AI” & “AI is just a tool”

2025/6: “I’m so fucking sick of AI”
I’d say the advent of AI is a very good time to stress what humans can do really well. To argue for added value. To re-monetise the craft and skills and inspiration that will never be algorithmically replicable. To differentiate humans from machines, and monetise that gap.

Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

Fucking hell I am a mess about this. I just saw her so young last week on an episode of Dream On (90s) and she was already faultless

Someone asked if my phrase “Cops Plus” shows was an industry term so now it officially is

It means all the shows which have an “eccentric consultant”

Namely
- Cops plus ADHD person
- Cops plus Autistic
