Great to be back in Aberystwyth. Looking forward to the start of @abertoirfest.bsky.social tomorrow!

I follow a lot of people on here who know an awful lot about the history and output of the Beeb. I think they should all collectively be given the DG job, it would work out great - even when there are very mild differences of opinion.

The Scarred For Life Folk Horror show is coming to Leeds @oldwoollen.bsky.social on Thursday 12 February 2026! Me and @bobfischer.bsky.social will don our goat masks to talk about witchcraft, stone circles, and suburban sex orgies (calm down at the back)!

Very much up for exploring a gameworld that looks like it's straight out of the pages of late-70s Métal Hurlant.
Devoid of any human presence, the structures have been overtaken by nature.
Rhizomatic Compound is a narrative driven experience.

Thought I'd settle in for the evening with a nice thriller. Chose A House of Dynamite. Probably won't be sleeping properly for weeks now.

Love this - although I get a bit of a folk horror vibe from it, rather than anything cosy.
OK, this was a day early for Bonfire or Guy Fawkes Night in 1937 & I'm a day late but - it's always a good time to share the marvellous work of German artist, designer and teacher Ernst Aufseeser (1880 - 1940). Night & Day was a shortlived UK magazine. #illustration

Always amazing to see such a transformation. Cheered me right up, that has!
Would you look at that: a few minutes of me submitting to the artistry of Dave Elsey, as he recreates Phil Leakey's Creature make-up from THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957). I was lucky enough to receive a DVD of this film on my twelfth birthday. Little did I know what lay ahead...

What if *all* the missing Doctor Who came back though? I don’t think the NHS has the capacity to cope with that level of shock. Good job that’s never going to happen.

I don't want to share a link (even a Byline one) featuring Ketler and his rancid platform, but it speaks volumes for Labour's current progressive credentials that our Prime Minister's social media team isn't willing to switch or expand to using Bluesky but the leaders of the Lib Dems and Greens are.

In an ideal world, this would be all the drama we need.
Knitting drama is back...
The shocking knitting scandal rocking Shetland deserves more attention. It's got everything - Fair Isle tank tops, cutting, "peeries", needle lengths, yarn thickness, and most controversially, crochet. 🐑 🐑
I don't know what Tom Daley is looking so smug about.
