Donald Trump interrupted national tv today to promise a million people (with guns!) two billion dollars he doesn’t have on a timeline he cannot meet to buy Christmas gifts he has personally fought to make less affordable
he doesn’t and the most likely outcome of this is that it doesn’t happen
How does the president have independent authority to mail out Christmas bonuses?

Just enraging. They want to kill trans kids. This is eugenics in action and they know it.

Being denied gender affirming care causes suicidality in trans kids to skyrocket.

Last night we had our 6-hour streamathon and it was a huge success!

We raised more than $25,000 while talking about politics, playing video games, making dolmas, and putting my cat in a little Santa hat.

Politicians can fund campaigns without calling rich people. They just have to want to do it.

I honestly think that many people don't know what their public libraries offer besides books. I think that everyone should go on a public library treasure hunt in 2026. Go explore what your library systems offer at no cost to you. Report back to me :)

I’d also like to announce that I am issuing a pardon for all criminals convicted of state charges in, oh, let’s say, Arizona?

Thank you for your attention to this delusion!
NEW: President Donald Trump says he is granting a pardon to Tina Peters, who was convicted on state charges related to tampering with Colorado's election systems. Legal experts say presidential pardons do not apply to state charges.

I was an associate at a small firm when they bought their own office building. Three of us pointed out the window to the hallway in each office would make pumping in them impossible. One of us had been forced to pump in the server room at the last office. They still refused to frost the glass.
Also this.

I was forced to pump in a 55 degree server room because my law firm wouldn't give me a room without a glass door.

Let me tell you how fast your milk dries up when you have to pump in that temperature and John the IT guy has a key to the room you're using that he could open any time.
This kind of bottle-shaming is a not-so-subtle way to push women out of the workforce.

The thing I try to explain the most to those who don’t live here is that the Nuzzis of the world live in Washington (the place that deserves your ire) and the rest of us live in D.C., a collection of diverse, mostly quiet, walkable residential neighborhoods with no federal representation
I live in DC. You think “official Washington” didn’t care what Trump administration 2 was likely to do?

Talk to someone who works at NIH. Or State. Or CFPB. Or DOJ. They all knew what was at stake. They were all scared + furious.

And reporters like Nuzzi saw none of it because they didn’t care.

It’s very funny to me that countries are trying to pass laws banning teens from social media until they’re older and can “handle it” as if the last decade hasn’t been about watching rich middle aged men nuke their brains on Twitter and then run the USA via shitpost.
Dude. Yes. Alito and Thomas are of course the standout examples, but all of the Republican justices have tells in their writing and their questioning indicating that they are, to varying degrees, marinating their brains in dumb bitch juice
My theory, fwiw, is that Supreme Court Justices are not immune to Twitter brain poisoning. I suspect all six have horrific information environments and have therefore lost the ability to understand the people who don't agree with them.

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

We really do have two different kinds of law now: District Court law (aka the law), and Supreme Court "law" (aka the U.S. House of Lords upholding Trump's personalist regime)
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do, but I am confident that at the District Court level it is still the case that the Pentagon cannot recall a sitting US Senator to active duty in order to court martial him for something he said. Article 1, Section 6, among other constitutional provisions.
