What weird naivete from the Supreme Court today... Why have sex on a passport anyway if not to aid in identification, which now the Court is making harder AND more humiliating for trans and nonbinary people.

NEW: On the shadow docket, the Supreme Court lets Trump resume misgendering trans Americans on their passports, claiming "the government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment." All three liberals dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

I loved casually following the game IRL at a friend's birthday outing and then coming back to all this!
derailed our entire college football show to watch midnight baseball with a couple thousand internet friends, there are worse ways to run headlong out of daylight savings time
if our brains weren’t always being cooked by the horrors of real life this place could be Actually Fun and it’s so nice to get a glimpse of what happens when it is

even if you don’t like baseball this shit was fun, right? everyone getting swept up in the same thing? I missed this

One last thing: the domestic violence confession that Ausberry sat on and did not report was about an LSU athlete. The football player had harmed an LSU athlete. And now Ausberry is interim AD and overseeing all of athletics and athletes. Ok.

It's hard to shock me these days. But I just read the words "LSU interim athletic director Verge Ausberry" and my jaw fucking dropped. I don't know what else to say but CTRL+F for his name in this article: www.usatoday.com/in-depth/spo...

Dreaming of what it could be like here if I could get the ultimate and quadball fans over... Maybe a project for 2026 lol. @wuleague.bsky.social you with me??
The reason this place has actually stuck for me is because my corner of college football twitter made a concerted, organized effort to move everyone over here as soon as invites started going around, and talking ball is the only actually fun part of social media for me at this point
baseball posting is unambiguously good for Bluesky. not my thing but we desperately need some lighter topics round these parts

At the finals for USAU club nationals yesterday, the stands were only packed for one game: the men's final between San Francisco Revolver and Chicago Machine. The women's final was maybe half full, and the mixed final was like one third. What gives??

Elizabeth Eddy is taking a hardline, World Athletics style stance with this op-ed, where intersex athletes are considered a threat that must be kept out of women's sports. Booooooo.

Eddy has a new teammate who is Black and from Zambia, who is open about being intersex (assigned female at birth/not trans) and people thinking she's male because of what she wears.

Between that and them sharing the bench/competing for minutes, hard not to see this as a very mean personal attack.
Deeply disappointed in Liz Eddy here, who I've always liked and respected. A reminder that we have a lot of work to do when it comes to educating the public about why trans inclusion isn't just morally correct, but competitively sound share.google/Gjf9a1Sl01eL...
