Our opinion page published a guest piece on Lindsey Vonn that was misogynistic trash. I had thoughts.
Your Lindsey Vonn advice is misogynistic trash. Keep it to yourself
A recent opinion piece about Lindsey Vonn was ill-informed, condescending and misogynistic. Here's why.

Lol did I just hear the NBC broadcast say that the medal runs for men's big air snowboarding was "so boring"? I wonder if they just had a hot mic problem...

Ken is quite literally the #1 bobsled/luge/skeleton expert on the internet. he's posting like this about luge world cup events in November. now is his time to shine and your time to follow along
First runs of men's luge kick off at 11:00 AM ET, we'll have 25 sliders take 3 runs (as long as they stay upright), top 20 go to the 4th run.

Germany, Austrian and Italy will factor in the medals, there's a chance for Latvia to sneak their way in.

Which countries sent the most athletes per capita to the 2026 Winter Olympics?

Liechtenstein clears the field by sending 8 athletes from a population of 40,023, meaning roughly 1 out of every 5,000 Liechtensteiners is at the Olympics.

This is a deeply unserious and extremely important statistic.

Most Heated Rivalry coverage has been focused on what young people, particularly younger straight women, think. I cover aging and decided to ask older gay men about their thoughts.

I found: A founder of what may have been the first gay hockey blog, a wedding cake shaped like a Zamboni and more.
Older gay men built their own hockey fandom. Then came 'Heated Rivalry.'
The hit show is an unexpected invitation for some older gay hockey fans to reflect on love, acceptance and coming out.

Like pretty much all the US guys mentioned in the emails, the backlash from peers & sponsors has been basically non-existent.

You see that green box next to her name? I means she’s not only racing this training run she’s beating people at it.
honestly feels unbelievable: Lindsay Vonn attempted and completed her training run today, a week after tearing her ACL, hitting a top speed of 74 mph.
They haven't fixed her ACL, it's just flopping around in there. And her other knee is made out of titanium. Very literally built different

My latest at @thebarbedwire.com ... I spent weeks interviewing current and former students, faculty, nonprofits and others about the way queer campus life has suffered over the past 2 years and how, in some cases, community members have stepped up to help.
EXCLUSIVE: When Senate Bill 17 went into effect in 2024, Texas universities were forced to enact anti-DEI policies. Since then, 12 queer resource centers or programs have closed — along with layoffs or transfers of at least 100 people.
