Saw SEND HELP, thoroughly enjoyed it. Classic Sam Raimi, very well told and performed. Few true surprises in it, but it felt like a series of dominoes set up by a master instead of predictable; and the cathartic moments in particular were TIMELY.
My only critique: Rachel McAdams can't not look hot.

I cannot stress this enough, and I am tired of saying it: British white people, everything you are seeing in the US is coming here and you cannot watch Eurovision or Great British Bakeoff or sign petitions and think you can stiff-upper-lip or ignore your way out of this.

Look, I believe in casts, but if a parent has strongly-held anti-cast beliefs, they should be allowed to let their kid’s broken arm grow back all floppy and fucked up, even to the point of lifelong, debilitating pain. And that’s not child abuse because a kid’s bones are their parents’ property

In general, AI adoption levels are a measurement of to what extent a particular reward system (a corporation, a market, academia as a whole system) has ceased to distinguish between doing a thing and pretending to do a thing
One of many things the pro-AI crowd doesn't seem to understand is the very important distinction between academic scholarship and the production of papers. Of course they can be related but they're not necessarily the same thing
