I cannot stress this enough, and I am tired of saying it: British white people, everything you are seeing in the US is coming here and you cannot watch Eurovision or Great British Bakeoff or sign petitions and think you can stiff-upper-lip or ignore your way out of this.

Learn to be UNCOMFORTABLE.
"I got five rejections by major outlets this week from editors who had ‘too much Minneapolis.’ But I think they meant: It's over, there's been a pivot! We read the headlines."

If journalists are turning away from Minneapolis because they're chasing the next big scoop, we need to talk about it.
Greetings from inside the economic blockade zones of Minneapolis and St Paul! Don’t look away, please. We need you. It’s been a month and they’re trying to destroy us.

Since Blairite Labour is caught in this trap they cannot win support in the UK, where we hate injustice, genocide, settler ideology, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, sucking up to the orange turd, outlawing protest, and all the other things that go with being bought by Israel. Join Greenparty.org.uk

It also explains why anyone with ambitions to reach the front benches in Labour ends up having to sign up to Labour Friends of Israel and go out to Israel to be indoctrinated and whatever else happens.

The information in the Epstein files (none of which is surprising except in just how revolting they all are) makes clear why Starmer and his Labour Party is unable to win popularity, unable to do the right thing and unable to answer questions with any kind of principles or moral backbone.

Good god. We've spent a decade with the British media - including the BBC - claiming that the 'gender critical' movement wanted to 'protect women and girls'.

And it turns out Jeffrey Epstein was funding part of it.
I'm not being facetious. Epstein was apparently giving talking points to the people pushing anti trans rhetoric in the UK.

I've got a question and I don't mind it circulating wider; is there such a thing as resistance training for neurodiverse people? Because it occurs to me there's a need for it, and a need for it to make sense so neurospicy folks can protect themselves in escalating situations.

This is how direct the lineage is, Muddy Waters learned guitar in Mississippi Juke Joints watching Son House & Robert Johnson. 20 plus years later he finds Buddy Guy, fresh off the train from LA & starving in Chicago. Buys him food, & gets him a gig.

Legend isn’t even enough.
So cool for 89-year-old blues legend Buddy Guy to be honored. Appearance in Sinners last year (and on the soundtrack). And just won Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album.

Meanwhile, in Scotland; waiting on test results for The Familiar. I'm up at buttcrack of dawn yet again (thanks, perimenopause...), and the rain is...still raining.

Never seen anything like it: this isn't rainforest, this is a monsoon season. Everything is late here, snowdrops are JUST starting.

ICE is targeting Native businesses & community/resource centers in Minneapolis. They harassed people at Pow Wow Grounds & sat outside of the American Indian Women's Resource Center for 2 hours last month. Many Native people (that we know of, there's definitely more) have been kidnapped by ICE.
“We were just trying to get him medication… But he was already gone.”

Last week, the internationally renowned Indigenous chef Sean Sherman told us that federal agents detained one of his employees on his way to work. By the next day, he said, his employee was out of Minnesota—and in Texas.

If ICE is gonna throw smoke bombs, I hope someone in Minnesota has decided that a barely cracked can of lutefisk lobbed into an ICE vehicle is fair play.

Black people: never let anyone tell you that you dont deserve all you have worked for and earned.

A cabal of pedophiles dating back 60 years have been propping each other, the economy, and this country up and to their whims.

Don’t idolize them. They arent even human.

All I could think of was @kayorchison.bsky.social would bust a seam watching them roll this cat around on the table, I nearly lost my shit.
They turned my mans into a purrito. It was as hilarious as it looks, and he glared at them all with the murder of a thousand suns.

Home, waiting for results. Might be a bright point at the end, but for now, venison steak and forgiveness.

Libraries and books are from perfect. The Dewey Decimal System is imperfect. But we will never forget the work of Dorothy B. Porter. She decolonized the Dewey Decimal System. She helped us belong in libraries, in books.

We celebrate and thank you, Dorothy B. Porter 💜📚

Ok I’m off for a few hours to do some work for a friend today. Please share this around for me. I’m asking my more affluent followers to help them. They really need this covered by tomorrow and they’re getting really worried. $310USD remaining. Anything helps. It adds up.
They got another 40USD overnight. Thanks to the donor. 310USD left to go. Please help if you’re able to. They have until tomorrow to hand it in. They need to keep their place. Help this Native family stay housed.
They’re still sitting at $350USD remaining. I missed a day of boosting it because of a family emergency so I’ll keep sharing it here all day. Please send them a donation today if you’re able to. Help this Native mother and child stay housed. They really need your help right now.

Aaaand, it's official. Lipodema/lymphadema. Although of course these conditions happen to women so there's been little research on either ( not even a diagnostic test for lipodema), the prognosis is I had it my entire life.

I tormented myself during bodybuilding for nothing.

Whew, chile...

Not my favourite thing: up early as we are taking our elderly cat to the vets, possibly for his final trip. He's 18, my familiar and best mate, but he's been declining for months.

I think he's just...done, really. He's just too stubborn to let go. I relate.

I relate <3.

I keep reading this over and over again - it's going to be studied in law universities for years, it's a masterwork. And he damn well wanted it on record that he said it.

Day 2 of actually properly trying out @bluesky, and I’m actually finding I kind of *like* how quiet it is here. I didn’t expect that, but it makes it feel calm and more safe.

Very low pressure, 2016 internet vibes.
Ok fine. I will try this for one week and see if it can scratch my Twitter-missing itch.

Hi, I’m Sara. I take photos and write things and hunt beauty like I’m stocking up for a long hard winter
