“Trauma is an unrelenting beast. It never quite leaves our side. But that doesn’t mean we owe it a damn thing.”
Neurospicy offspring and I communicate in pop culture allegories; the mythology of stories helps them make sense of the world, and we get how we use it.

On days like this, this one makes an appearance.

A movie that takes place where you're from.

You betcha.

If my only worthy contribution to Bluesky is banging recipes, then yanno what, I'll take it. My patron deity: I, too, would feed with the world, with rice enough, health, and time.

Since I was so tired of only leaving the house for medical appointments and there was a break in weather, we decided to go drive around Loch Sween, and the light was incredible - golden hour, but all day.

My elder cat had a brother (he passed last year) who used to think this was a perfectly acceptable way to sleep. He was snoring.

If you want to know why the Indigenous community goes so hard for Palestine, I'll give you a hint: when people were trying to hold off the US government at Standing Rock, the Palestinian people were showing solidarity, then, and now.

Last night I swear I was being treated by the Nurse in Hotel Artemis and I have never felt more relaxed about a health care crisis in my life.

Yeah, this La Llorona is fire, I am loving this costume this year. Finally could get something with Bright Dust, and I am content.

Work in progress, while getting some great advice from my Offspring on how to use colour dodge. Thanks to @adorkastock.com for the pose, I hope to finish this up this week.

I loved my Mourn Watch necromage in Dragon Age.

Did this ages ago, but I like to haul it out for the holidays.

Finished them both up and got them out the door in time for Offspring's birthday and their partner got one as well (the one on the left). The lights are controlled from internal switches, and I had to try and remember my kindergarten-level Cantonese for blessings on the ribbon.

Haven't been able to work on my offspring's Rover Terminal for over a month as I have been fighting a hell of a flare and popping antibiotics like smarties, but I hope to finish painting and get the wiring on this weekend. Someone cover me for alt-text here, I'm struggling to stay upright atm.

We've traveled to two different A&E departments at two different hospitals on Saturday because I remain a medical enigma to Scotland. It's all been a slog, I'm on double-barrelled antibiotics that are only partly working...but you have to treat every trip like a pilgrimage here.

If there's one thing I really appreciate in a video game, it's a bombastic side-eye. My Rook served.

Me, reading the newest Destiny 2 changes which address absolutely nothing the community wants, and instead nerfs even more stuff.

I have never seen a game do this before. Even Everquest didn't do this before. I'm baffled.

Drop an old person you are going to turn into in the future (nearly there, fuckyeah)

Let's gooooooooooooo. Just had to clear space in my own garden to put this stuff down to spray paint it, but primer coat down, and then some sanding (which isn't as fun, but necessary).

Good morning, brother! We have work being done on the house so it isn't safe for me to be outside and tend my garden. It's a bit of a ruin atm, but one of the vines they were throwing bits of roof on survived, and might give me fruit.

I send nasturtium flowers to brighten your day.

Anyway, went for a drive yesterday and due to not sleeping more than four hours a night for a while, you're gonna have to forgive the lack of alt-text. Photos are of our area of West Scotland, went to go round Loch Sween way since I grew up in a place where the Sweeney name was EVERYWHERE.

Lots of mullein growing here. The bees love this - this is called Black Mullein.

Happy to! I live on the coast of Loch Fyne, Scotland, currently turning my garden into a meadow with some permaculture crops. One of the plants is a yellow peapod that I love

If you had any idea how hard I am on my nails, and how crumbly and ridged they are under this polish, you wouldn’t get how amazing this is. Got a tip from a psoriatic rheumatologist about halal, breathable polish. This isn’t cheap but it’s hard as gel and doesn’t destroy my nails. I love it.
