a friend of mine had an interview with a big money guy looking to start a new team and his pitch deck had mspaint art in it and i was like you have no idea how much of a green flag that actually is lol
No, using AI generated stuff as a "placeholder" on your crowdfunding campaign is not OK either.
If the visuals are THAT important to getting your project funded, then you need to pay a person up front for those key visuals and deliver a consistent end product to your backers.

But your eventually going to be so far removed from the material as to not even be playing the same game

It definitely seems to me like a lot of the RPG scene treats rules as an impediment to fun and something that must be broken to achieve it, when the truth is they just want more narrative-first systems over gamist or simulationist ones.
Which is fine, but the lack of awareness is troubling.

💿🐴 but I think it is pretty obvious, as others have said, your system IS what it does
You can roleplay with any game, there's a narrative built in nearly every game played, if your game is inherently about fighting/getting a date/wandering then that's what the game is!

This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.
